Maintainence Engineer

Mission:

To ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment through proactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Planned & Reactive Maintenance

  • Execute scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality and minimize operational downtime

Technical Fault Diagnosis
  • Identify and resolve faults across a wide range of building services and equipment, applying effective troubleshooting techniques to restore performance.

Preventive Maintenance Strategy
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of preventive maintenance programs aimed at extending asset lifespan and reducing unplanned outages.

Energy Monitoring & Sustainability
  • Track energy consumption and support initiatives that enhance energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.

Regulatory Compliance & Safety Assurance
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including conducting risk assessments and routine inspections

Engineering Project Support
  • Assist in the execution of engineering projects such as system upgrades, refurbishments, and new installations, working collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors.

Asset Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance operations, asset performance, and compliance checks using Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems.

Skills & Attributes:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in technical engineering roles
  • Strong working knowledge electrical and mechanical systems
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with CAFM software and digital maintenance tools
