The role ensures accurate product cost, lead time, and technical scope information is obtained from the factory and clearly communicated to regional offices to support competitive, reliable, and profitable customer quotations. By owning this interface, the Tendering Engineer improves quotation speed, delivery commitment reliability, and global selling effectiveness.
What will you do:
Tendering & Quotation Support
- Own the end-to-end tendering process for liquid cooling opportunities, from RFQ receipt through quotation release.
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into clear technical and commercial inputs for the factory.
- Support regional sales teams by providing timely, accurate cost and lead-time information to enable customer quotations.
- Ensure quotations clearly document scope, assumptions, exclusions, and delivery commitments.
Factory Cost & Lead-Time Coordination
- Request, extract, and consolidate product cost information from the factory, including cost of goods data extracted from Acumatica.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, planning, and supply chain teams to validate cost and lead-time inputs.
- Ensure factory-provided data reflects current material availability, capacity, and configuration complexity.
- Act as the single point of contact for cost and lead-time questions between factories and regional offices.
- Proactively identify risks or constraints that could impact customer commitments and escalate as needed.
Global Communication & Enablement
- Communicate factory cost and lead-time inputs clearly and consistently to regional sales organizations across multiple geographies.
- Support regions during clarification cycles by coordinating responses with factory and engineering teams.
- Enable faster and more confident global selling by reducing back-and-forth between regions and manufacturing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, application engineering, factory planning, supply chain, and finance teams to align offers.
- Participate in tender reviews and internal alignment discussions prior to quote release.
- Support smooth handover to order management and project teams once tenders are awarded.
Process Improvement
- Improve tendering efficiency by standardizing how factory cost, lead time, and technical inputs are requested and shared.
- Reduce manual effort and quotation cycle time through clearer ownership and repeatable processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of global tendering and quotation workflows.
What will make you successful:
- Strong understanding of engineered products and factory-based manufacturing environments
- Ability to interpret factory cost and lead-time data and translate it into customer-ready information
