Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant - Finance (FICO) to support global SAP transformation initiatives, including template design, solution deployment, rollouts, and application support. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise across SAP Finance and Controlling processes, coupled with hands-on configuration experience and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

Technical Expertise

  • SAP consulting experience across multiple end-to-end implementations, global rollouts, and support engagements.
  • Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programs involving design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare support.
  • SAP S/4HANA Finance certification is preferred.

SAP Finance (FI)

Hands-on configuration and solution expertise in:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting (AA)
  • Treasury & Cash Management
  • Financial Closing & Period-End Activities
  • Bank Accounting
  • Financial Reporting

SAP Controlling (CO)

Strong functional knowledge and configuration experience in:
  • Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
  • Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
  • Internal Orders
  • Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
  • Product Costing (CO-PC)

Integration Experience

Good understanding of end-to-end integration between Finance and other SAP modules, including:
  • Materials Management (MM)
  • Sales & Distribution (SD)
  • Project Systems (PS)
  • FSCM (Financial Supply Chain Management)

Functional Competencies
  • Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Product Costing and Controlling best practices.
  • Understanding of SAP S/4HANA innovations, including Universal Journal (ACDOCA), Business Partner, and Finance simplification items.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams.


Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling solutions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable, compliant solutions.
  • Support SAP transformation initiatives across implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects.
  • Facilitate fit-gap analysis, solution design workshops, and process optimization discussions.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Finance and adjacent SAP modules.
  • Support localization requirements and statutory compliance across global deployments.
  • Lead system testing activities, including SIT, UAT, and Go-Live readiness.
  • Provide expert guidance on Finance and Controlling best practices, process improvements, and solution governance.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on custom developments, interfaces, and enhancements.
  • Support transition to Application Maintenance (AMS) teams and ensure successful knowledge transfer.

Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP S/4HANA Finance Certification.
  • Experience in large-scale global transformation programs.
  • Exposure to Agile/SAFe delivery environments.
  • Strong consulting, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
  • Experience working in multinational and matrixed environments.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 7-14 years SAP FICO experience.
  • Multiple end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation and rollout engagements.
  • Strong configuration expertise across FI and CO.
  • Exposure to FSCM, Treasury, Product Costing, and cross-functional integration.
  • Ability to engage directly with Finance leadership and business process owners.
