Regional Digital Service Representative

IoT 5.0 and SCADA applications

The Regional Digital Service Representative delivers professional on-site services for Schneider Electric including commissioning, on-site technical diagnostics, and resolution of customer issues. The role primarily supports complex and critical projects, providing advanced support with hands-on expertise for IoT including sensors, software, and connectivity, SCADA Application (EPO, EBO, PME), LV products (Power & Quality Meters ION) and Protection relays (Easergy, MicroLogic)

Main responsibilities

Pre-Commissioning Activities:

  • Review project documentation, including specifications, control drawings, I/O lists, and network
    architecture diagrams, collect cybersecurity requirements
  • Validate installation and physical integrity of hardware components, including PLCs, RTUs, servers,
    network infrastructure, and firewalls, sensor pairing, custom model, firmware upgrade, gateway
    association to tenants, off-site testing and validation of Bill of Materials including modem & SIM card
  • Installation of new sensors (temperature, heat tag, humidity, pressure...), Panel Servers, concentrators,
    if necessary


Syste m Configuration:
  • Configure SCADA platforms (e.g., AVEVA, Wonderware, Siemens WinCC, GE iFIX) in accordance with project requirements
  • Establish and validate communication between PLCs/RTUs and the SCADA system
  • Develop and configure HMI interfaces, alarm management, event handling mechanisms,
    communications and connect digital devices (relays, sensors, SMD, ...) to gateway


Integration Tasks:
  • Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, RTUs, IoT gateways, and remote servers
  • Commission the IT/IoT portion of the digital services with and Interface with third-party systems such as

DCS, EMS, BMS, and FMCS,
  • Ensure reliable and consistent data exchange across all integrated systems
  • Perform loop checks to verify signal integrity and E2E communication between field instruments and
    SCADA system
  • Validate the communication architecture for devices and gateways to retrieve and publish data for the
    assets up to the EAA Platform

  • Requirements

    Education and experience
    • Electrotechnical education (preferably University degree)
    • Advanced in Automation, IT solutions and networks (TCP/IP, Modbus, IEC61850, SNMP,SNTP,
      MQTT, REST, Profinet, Profibus...), digital systems integration, software Configuration
    • Knowledge of LV and MV products (knowing Schneider Electric products is advantage)
    • Capability to work alone, analyze technical challenges and propose resolutions
    • Have excellent mechanical and electrical hands-on skills and capability to use measurements tolls
    • Mandatory: fluent communication in English language (B2+ level min)
    • Flexibility & Reliability, Focus on technical details & Customer focus, Team player, Leadership skills
    • Good Software tools literacy: MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD, Power system Cx software

    For this Slovakia based position, the expected pay range is EUR 35.200 - EUR 52.800 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives (individual and/or collective). The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within Slovakia. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
