Instrumentation Technical Sales Consultant

Technical Sales Consultants (TSCs) are product and application experts whose primary mission is to drive sales of Schneider Electric Process Instrumentation solutions. They serve as technical advisors, supporting customers and sales teams with deep product knowledge and application expertise.
What will you do?
- Are you an initiative-taking Process Instrumentation Engineer with a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex industrial problems? If so, we want you to join our team as a Technical Sales Consultant.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for helping create solutions with our newest products. Solutions will be applied in data centers, midstream and upstream oil and gas, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, mining and metals, chemical, and water/wastewater industries.
- The successful candidate will work closely with other TSCs, internal and external sales staff to develop solutions to help customers with their process instrumentation needs.
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
- Efficiently manage and resolve a high volume of customer cases on a daily basis.
- Provide technical consultation and guidance on product selection, model codes, and application suitability.
- Support sales strategies through presentations, industry events, and training sessions.
- Conduct lunch-and-learns and assist with field troubleshooting.
- Provide Project Proposal guidance for instrumentation component of project bid, ensuring accuracy and completeness before final submission.
Travel: In this role, the successful candidate will be required to travel frequently across the United States and Canada to meet with customers and provide technical knowledge, expertise and training. The ability to travel up to 50% of the time is essential for this position.

What qualifications will make you successful?
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or Technologist Diploma in Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- You should have 3+ years of experience with flow devices, pressure transmitters, temperature applications, level measurement, and valves.
- You should also be an initiative-taker with the ability to quickly learn innovative technologies.
