Industrial Strategy Financial Controller

Overview

The Industrial Strategy Financial Controller plays a key role in shaping the future of our global supply chain by delivering strategic financial analysis and business partnership. This position works across multiple functions to support long-term industrial planning, ensure effective capital deployment, strengthen asset returns, and build critical business continuity strategies as part of a broader initiative to create a more resilient supply chain.

The ideal candidate brings strong business case evaluation expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the financial acumen required to challenge assumptions and influence successful outcomes. With high visibility to senior leadership, this role offers the opportunity to shape strategic decisions, deepen understanding of our industrial footprint, and develop a broad global network.

Key Responsibilities

• Build comprehensive, financially sound business cases in partnership with project managers.

• Drive governance and financial control for project execution, ensuring alignment to financial targets and proactively identifying emerging gaps.

• Provide an integrated financial view of complex strategic initiatives within assigned Business Units, clearly articulating project impacts.

• Collaborate closely with partners across Plant Finance, project management, accounting, and Business Unit Finance to deliver accurate evaluations and transparent communication.

• Lead product costing workstreams for strategic decisions (make/buy, localization, footprint moves), including should-cost modeling, costed BOMs/routings, and scenario simulations of labor/overhead rates, yields, and volume.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline within a Manufacturing Environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.

• Proven ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders outside of direct reporting lines.

• A team-oriented mindset that supports knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous development.

• Strong financial acumen, from accounting principles to standard costing, cash flow, margin, and key financial KPIs (such as NPV, IRR, CAGR).

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong prioritization skills.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical abilities.

• Proficient in Excel and data management tools, especially Tableau and SQL (including VBA).
