About the Role

We are looking for an Indirect Procurement Project Buyer - CAPEX Industrial Means Europe to join our European Procurement team. In this role, you will support the sourcing and governance of CAPEX investments across Europe, covering special machinery, assembly lines, test equipment, robotics, packaging equipment, and automation solutions.

Working closely with the Category Manager , you will ensure CAPEX projects comply with procurement governance requirements, deliver competitive sourcing outcomes, and create value for the business. You will manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously while serving as a trusted partner to manufacturing sites, industrialisation teams, and other key stakeholders.

What Will You Do?
CAPEX Governance & Purchase Requisition Validation

  • Review and validate CAPEX purchase requisitions in line with E5 governance requirements.
  • Verify approval workflows, equipment classifications, and sourcing compliance before purchases proceed.
  • Challenge non-compliant requests constructively and guide stakeholders through required approval processes.
  • Escalate governance concerns and stakeholder resistance appropriately to the Category Manager.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of approvals, sourcing exceptions, and compliance records.
Sourcing & Supplier Management
  • Execute competitive sourcing processes for industrial equipment and automation solutions across Europe.
  • Conduct RFx activities, evaluate supplier proposals, and support commercial negotiations.
  • Drive competitive bidding among approved suppliers to achieve the best total cost of ownership.
  • Collaborate with the Industrialisation team and Category Manager to identify and qualify alternative suppliers.
  • Support supplier performance management and contribute market intelligence to category strategies and supplier panels.
Stakeholder Partnership
  • Develop strong working relationships with plant managers, industrialisation teams, and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Act as a key point of contact for CAPEX procurement projects and governance requirements.
  • Advise project teams on procurement processes, supplier options, and sourcing timelines.
  • Participate in project reviews, industrialisation planning, and capacity discussions to anticipate upcoming procurement needs.
  • Support stakeholders throughout the CAPEX approval and sourcing lifecycle.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to governance reporting and procurement performance tracking.
  • Monitor compliance trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Maintain procurement case libraries and knowledge-sharing documentation.
  • Support the preparation of leadership updates, governance reports, and stakeholder communications.
  • Contribute to the achievement of category sourcing and productivity targets.
What Are We Looking For?
Qualifications & Experience
  • Master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related function, including internship or VIE experience.
  • Exposure to industrial procurement or capital equipment sourcing is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment categories such as assembly lines, robotics, automation, test equipment, or packaging systems is a plus.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is beneficial.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Confidence in challenging non-compliant requests and influencing stakeholders constructively.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
  • Analytical mindset with strong commercial awareness.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, Coupa, or similar procurement platforms.
  • Fluent English language skills; additional European languages are an advantage.
