The Opportunity


Our Global Supply Chain (GSC) team are currently seeking an HSE Manager for a permanent position to be based in Ingleburn, NSW.

This site is our Sydney Distribution Centre and is recognized globally as a SMART Logistic platform, embedding some of the most advanced solutions and innovations. It covers 17,500M2 of storage capacity together with efficient and ergonomic equipment including a new fleet of Materials Handling Equipment and is a full Green SITE facility, servicing industries including mining, hospitals, utilities, and data centres.

The HSE Manager will provide the functional leadership at the Sydney Distribution Centre for the management of HSE risks, implementation of HSE systems, and the monitoring of HSE performance and compliance.

Reporting directly to the DC Manager, this role also acts as the key contact for Schneider Electric's Integrated Facilities Management provider and as Security Coordinator for the Ingleburn Site and has functional dotted line reporting to the HSE and Sustainability Director, Pacific Zone.

Key responsibilities:

  • Set up and monitor an ongoing and dynamic approach to HSE that meets internal and external requirements
  • Lead the response to HSE risks, incidents and opportunities
  • Deploy global and local initiatives to enhance physical safety
  • Lead the analysis and reporting of performance and insights
  • Lead HSE compliance and assurance programs, and lead the response to external audits and regulator engagements
  • Deliver innovative solutions that will contribute to sustainability objectives such as energy efficiency and circularity
  • Support the implementation of health, wellbeing and injury management programs.


This is an on-site position, requiring attendance at our Ingleburn Site 5 days a week. Requests for flexible arrangements can be accommodated from time to time.

About You:

Your previous 6+ years of experience in an Industrial Warehousing environment as an HSE subject matter expert or HSE Manager will showcase your proven ability to manage technical risk including those associated with forklifts, pallet storage and racking, and heavy vehicles.

Key skills and experience:
  • ICAM Investigation certification and Cert IV Health and Safety are essential
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability, or a similar relevant discipline will be highly regarded
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups and strong commercial acumen
  • Demonstrated regulatory and standards compliance
  • A growth mindset through well-developed digital skills and a technical aptitude
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to promote Schneider Electric's commitment to safety and sustainability.
