- Key Responsibilities
• Support site HSE management system implementation and reporting to SERE Senior Manager.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE laws, regulations, permits, and applicable industry standards.
• Implement and maintain corporate HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems.
• Conduct HSE gap analyses and ensure timely closure of identified actions.
• Lead safety culture and mindset improvement initiatives to achieve targeted maturity levels.
• Lead risk assessments (JHA, HIRA, TRA), identify high-risk activities, and recommend effective controls.
• Deliver HSE inductions and refresher training for employees and contractors.
• Promote a positive safety culture through campaigns, toolbox talks, and leadership engagement.
• Coach supervisors and workers on safe work practices and behavioral safety.
• Lead investigations of incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, including root cause analysis.
• Prepare HSE reports and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct daily site inspections and periodic internal audits to ensure compliance.
• Monitor contractor HSE performance and compliance.
• Monitor environmental compliance related to waste, air emissions, wastewater, and noise.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Support environmental sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure emergency response plans are developed, updated, communicated, and tested through drills (fire, evacuation, chemical spill).
• Lead ISO management system implementation and recertification (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001).
• Develop and maintain skill matrices and ensure 100% training compliance.
• Implement and maintain CAPA tracking systems to prevent recurrence of incidents.
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO50001).
• Incident investigation and root-cause analysis expertise.
• Risk assessment and control methodology.
• Understanding of environmental management.
Behavioral Competencies
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to influence people at all levels and lead without authority.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking
• High attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset
• Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Stakeholder Management.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, HSE, or related field.
• Professional certifications preferred: NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, IOSH Managing Safely.
• 5+ years of HSE experience, including supervisory or lead roles.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, FMCG oil & gas, or industrial environments (based on industry).
