The Opportunity
The HSE Business Partner role exists to provide strategic and tactical HSE support to Home and Distribution, Power Products and Marketing business units operating across the Pacific Zone.
The HSE Business Partner is accountable for the implementation of HSE System requirements, and for the definition and delivery of targeted programs to enhance HSE performance, culture and compliance across these areas. Reporting to the HSE Director, Pacific Zone, the HSE Business Partner will act as the single point of contact for Senior Leaders and People Leaders in these areas on any topic related to HSE.
Where required, the HSE Business Partner will work closely with other members of the HSE Team across all Pacific locations to ensure adequate on-site coverage for activities requiring an HSE presence, including but not limited to inspections, emergency and incident response and risk assessments.

Specific objectives and responsibilities include:
- Acting as the Single Point of Contact for Home and Distribution, Power Products and Marketing business units regarding HSE matters
- Development and implementation of HSE Management Plans for each area, including a HSE specific risk register and standard control measures aligned with Pacific and Global HSE requirements
- Facilitation of HSE Governance and Assurance programs to verify control implementation and effectiveness
- Definition and development of, in consultation with the HSE Director, Pacific Zone and other members of the HSE team, targeted initiatives and programs to enhance HSE culture, compliance and performance
- Leading all Major Investigations and overseeing all Minor Investigations for HSE incidents, injuries/illnesses and near misses in these business units
- Oversee HSE Communications relevant to these business units
- Champion and drive implementation of Sustainability Initiatives related to HSE for Macquarie Park Head Office
- Oversee HSE and Emergency preparedness & Response requirements for Macquarie Park, excluding technical requirements for Labs and Minor Works construction projects.
This role may require infrequent interstate travel. Flexibility to work from home is afforded, however the role is full time (five days a week) and is based in Macquarie Park, NSW.
About You
You will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a corporate environment in Australia . You will possess an excellent understanding of HSE Management System implementation and record keeping, ensuring legal compliance and that internal and external stakeholder needs are effectively managed.
This experience will be supported by a tertiary qualification in HSE Management or equivalent together with a well-practiced understanding of operational and people risks in a corporate environment, including marketing events, office-based work, driving and travel.
