Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead our Global Engineering Centre (GEC) for Digital Buildings, based in Mexico. This role will oversee a high-performing engineering organisation of 25 - 50 engineers, delivering 50,000+ engineering hours annually to support EcoXpert partners globally. The position requires strategic leadership, operational excellence, and technical oversight across design, development, and deployment of advanced smart building technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the GEC Mexico vision for BMS engineering aligned with global business and technology roadmaps.
  • Build and maintain a strong brand identity for the GEC as a trusted global delivery partner for EcoXperts.
  • Drive transformation initiatives to improve engineering efficiency and scalability.

Operational Excellence
  • Manage and scale a high-performing engineering team to support global EcoXpert project needs.
  • Develop infrastructure, tools, and processes to support agile and scalable operations.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of engineering services across regions.

Innovation & Standards
  • Drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies such as IoT, AI/ML, and cloud-based platforms in BMS applications.
  • Promote standardisation in project delivery to optimise labour and margins across SE branches and EcoXpert partners.

Global Collaboration
  • Partner with global stakeholders and EcoXpert programme teams to deliver quality, scalable, compliant, and cost-effective engineering services.
  • Align with other Schneider Engineering Centres to drive synergy and standardisation.

Talent Development
  • Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and leaders, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop retention and engagement initiatives to encourage long-term career development within the engineering centre.

Process Optimisation
  • Implement best practices in project execution, quality assurance, and digital engineering workflows.

Customer Focus
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely delivery, technical excellence, and proactive communication.
  • Drive customer satisfaction to consistently achieve 9/10 ratings.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement QA methodology to drive excellence.

Compliance & Safety
  • Uphold global standards for safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance in all engineering outputs.


What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering.
  • 15+ years of experience in BMS or building automation systems, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience with global delivery models and managing offshore engineering teams.
  • PMP or equivalent project/program management certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sustainability standards is a plus.
  • Exposure to smart building technologies and digital engineering tools.
