General Environmental and Employee Health & Safety - Experienced Professional
The HSE Coordinator Gepps Cross exists to provide targeted support the Gepps Cross HSE Manager achieve HSE compliance and objectives for the Site. The role reports to the Gepps Cross Site Leader / Manufacturing Director and has a dotted reporting line to the Pacific H&S Director on health and safety matters, including competency and development.
Specific objectives and duties:
Assist develop, maintain, and communicate a Pacific HSE Management Plan for the Site (covering factory, warehouse, distribution center, labs, workshops, office etc.).
Attend SIM 1 and 2 on a regular basis and attend SIM 5 to provide regular updates.
Assist in the completion of the Environment Health & Safety Assessment (EHSA) for the site by the required due date and help manage the action plan).
Support the implementation of all Global and Pacific HSE requirements that are relevant to the site including but not limited to:
Global Schneider Policies, Directives, Codes of Practice, Campaigns, Safer Future
Pacific Schneider Procedures.
Ensure all EcoOnline records related to the site are up to date and accurate (this includes ensuring that all HSE events are correctly classified, and actions are properly recorded in EcoOnline).
Monitor all overdue EcoOnline actions and escalate where appropriate.
Assist the Site's preparation, participation and action planning for all internal and external audits related to HSE (SPS, ISO, GRC, Legal Compliance).
Coordinate, review and provide feedback and/or sign off on all HSE risk assessments and permits undertaken or issued at the Site to ensure that they meet Schneider and legal requirements.
Lead or support the investigation of HSE failures that occur at the Site (incidents, near misses) in accordance with local and global requirements, delegating investigation tasks and action items to others at the Site where appropriate.
Ensure that all required HSE monitoring and measurement activities at the Site are completed in a timely manner (including daily/weekly/monthly HSE inspections, periodic HSE risk reviews etc.).
Support and complete all Global HSE Campaigns for the Site and help develop EcoOnline action plans where gaps exist.
Assist with relevant management reporting for HSE (BSC, HSE governance, Resource Advisor etc.).
Support Emergency Management and Business Continuity for the site.
Support change management activities at the Site, including those that have a significant HSE impact (positive or negative) (this may include representing HSE interests on Winning Plan initiatives or CI and Transformation Projects).

Provide tactical HSE support to all teams located at Gepps Cross.
Provide HSE program level support to the Local Adaptation team situated in Ingleburn.
This role is based on site, however flexibility to work from home occasionally exists. From time to time, this role may include interstate travel.
What will make you successful:
Diploma or Certificate IV in HSE Management or equivalent.
3 years experience in a similar role.
Excellent understanding of HSE management in an industrial environment.
Good understanding of electrical, machine and mobile plant risks and controls.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
A natural persistence, resilience and tenacity
Excellent MS Office and IT database skills.
