Job Brief:

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Firmware Manager to lead our firmware development team in the power electronics domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in firmware engineering for power converters and protection applications, coupled with proven leadership abilities. As a Firmware Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire firmware development lifecycle, managing technical teams, defining strategic directions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable firmware solutions for our power electronic systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Management
    • Lead and mentor a team of firmware engineers working on power electronic converters, protection applications.
    • Define roles and responsibilities, set performance objectives, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
    • Foster a collaborative team environment, promote knowledge sharing, and drive professional development within the team.
  • Technical Strategy and Planning
    • Develop and execute the firmware technology roadmap aligned with company goals and market trends.
    • Define architectural frameworks and design standards for firmware solutions in power electronics.
    • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance product performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Technical Expertise and Guidance
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team on complex firmware challenges in power electronics.
    • Review and approve critical design decisions, control algorithms, and code implementations.
    • Contribute to the resolution of high-level technical issues and debugging of complex system problems.
  • Quality and Compliance
    • Ensure firmware designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality guidelines.
    • Implement and maintain best practices in firmware development, coding standards, and documentation.
    • Drive continuous improvement in development processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; Ph.D. is a plus.
