External Manufacturing Site Leader

We are currently seeking a self-driven External Manufacturing Site Leader with a passion for manufacturing to join our team. This position will oversee the operation for a Contract Manufacturer, in terms of Quality, Deliveries, Capacity, Flexibility and Cost. The role will work jointly with the Virtual factory team, the Regional Procurement team, the Line of Business and the Demand Planning team. The EMS Leader will report to the External Manufacturing Director and will be based in Cd. Juárez, Chihuahua

What will you do:

  • Lead operational meetings with the Contract Manufacturer (Daily Meetings, Weekly Meetings and Monthly Business Review).
  • Review forecast and production requirements along with Virtual Factory team. Level load requirememts if possible.
  • Discuss CAMA (Capacity Management) with Contract Manufacturer and lock production plans.
  • Participate on Quality Weekly Reviews animated by Virtual Factory Team and Contract Manufacturer team.
  • Co-Lead Lean Manufacturing events at the Contract Manufacturer operation.
  • Analyze, discuss and authorize "Price Variances" coming from the Contract Manufacturer operation.
  • Participate as key stakeholder for manufacturing transfers related to its Contract Manufacturer.
  • Participate on Line of Business discussiones (Quality, Lead Time, Deliveries improvements).
  • Report out Past Due recovery plans to Cluster Leader.
  • Participate on Productivity events driven by Procurement team.
  • Audit Tier 2 and Tier 3 vendors.
  • De-risk supply chain (Equipment, Molds, bad performer vendors, logistic routes, etc)
  • Participate on Inventory discussions, from FG at DCs to excess inventory at the Contract Manufacturer.
  • Participate on SAM audits.
  • Lead containment actions for quality incurssions.


Qualifications -

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or Engineering.
  • Proven experience on Production, Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain (at least 5 years).
  • Preferred experience on MTS environment.
  • Proven experience managing teams and working on a matrix organization.
  • Proficiency on excel use.
  • Process oriented, with disciplined process management skills.
  • Preferred experience with Oracle.
  • Self-initiative and aptitude for process/quality improvement.
  • Strong influencing skills and team work.
  • Advanced English
