What will you do:

  • Review proposed solution designs for functional completeness, validate that data flows, integration patterns, and API specifications match business requirements, and identify functional gaps before architecture is approved
  • Assess incoming Business Needs for functional clarity and completeness, identify missing information, ambiguities, or unresolved dependencies, and determine readiness to proceed to Defining
  • Conduct requirements workshops with business stakeholders and SMEs, analyze E2E processes and data flows including integration points, API interactions, and MDM rules, and translate business needs into complete Functional Documentation following IB Digital standards
  • Create Features in Jira linked to Business Needs, define clear and testable acceptance criteria, articulate business value for each Feature, and obtain sign-off from business and Delivery Lead before handover
  • Participate in backlog refinement sessions to clarify Features, answer functional questions from development teams, validate technical feasibility against documented requirements, and ensure Features meet Definition of Ready before sprint commitment
  • Ensure Features assigned to the PI are functionally complete, properly sized, and have unambiguous acceptance criteria; attend PI Planning to clarify scope and resolve functional dependencies across teams
  • Remain available during sprints to answer functional questions, clarify acceptance criteria, and resolve ambiguities that would otherwise block development; review delivered Features against documented requirements before functional sign-off
  • Support UAT by validating that delivered solutions meet acceptance criteria, document functional defects with clear reproduction steps, and facilitate business sign-off before release
  • Analyze and document integration issues across connected systems, providing clear functional root cause analysis and working with technical teams to define and validate resolution
  • Maintain requirements traceability from Business Need through Functional Documentation to Features, keep Jira updated to reflect current functional status, and ensure documentation remains accurate as requirements evolve
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of functional documentation standards, share domain knowledge across the FA community, and participate in onboarding of new FAs into IB Digital ways of working
  • Act as the primary functional point of contact for business stakeholders, Architects, Technical Leads, and Delivery Leads within the assigned scope, ensuring that functional intent is preserved from requirement through to delivery

What will make you successful:
  • 4+ years' experience in IT product, functional analyst, or architecture roles, with direct involvement in requirements definition and delivery in a software development context
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; candidates from non-technical disciplines must demonstrate equivalent technical experience through their work history
  • Hands-on experience with MDM environments, including master data modelling, data governance rules, and MDM platform configuration
  • Ability to analyze complex end-to-end processes and data flows, identify root causes, and translate findings into precise functional requirements that technical teams can implement without ambiguity
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams - translating business intent into functional specifications and technical constraints back into business language, including in a multicultural and distributed environment
  • Experience managing concurrent functional workstreams across multiple Business Needs or Features at different stages of the delivery pipeline simultaneously

Technical:
  • Ability to read, write, and validate API specifications (REST/SOAP), document data mappings and transformation rules, and interpret SQL queries for requirement traceability and data validation across relational and cloud environments
  • Ability to understand proposed technical solutions well enough to identify functional gaps, challenge design decisions that do not meet documented requirements, and engage credibly with Architects and Technical Leads in Architecture Review sessions
  • Experience with BI and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight, sufficient to validate data outputs and support business stakeholders in interpreting results

Functional:
  • Ability to produce Functional Documentation that is complete, unambiguous, and directly actionable by development teams - including use cases, process flows, data mapping specifications, and testable acceptance criteria
  • Ability to facilitate requirements workshops, challenge incomplete or solution-driven inputs from business stakeholders, and drive alignment on scope without escalating every disagreement
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) required
  • Ability to communicate and build credibility at multiple levels of the organization - from developer to senior business stakeholder - in a distributed, multicultural environment

Ways of working:
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced delivery environment where functional clarity is expected before development starts - able to set and hold the bar on documentation quality under pressure from business or delivery timelines
  • Proactively identifies functional gaps, unresolved dependencies, and ambiguities before they reach development - escalates with a proposed resolution rather than just a problem statement
  • Proficient in Jira for Feature and requirement management, and Confluence for functional documentation; maintains accurate status and traceability at all times without prompting
  • Able to work effectively across Architects, Technical Leads, Delivery Leads, and business stakeholders without requiring a single point of coordination - owns functional clarity end-to-end across the delivery lifecycle

Strongly preferred:
  • Experience working scaled Agile framework, including participation in PI Planning, backlog refinement, and sprint ceremonies as a functional contributor
  • Ability to write and interpret SQL queries for data validation and requirement traceability, and working knowledge of REST/SOAP API specifications, data mapping, and ETL/ELT integration patterns
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica MDM and/or Informatica Cloud (IICS), including configuration, data mapping, and integration workflow design
  • Hands-on experience with AWS data services (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda) or equivalent cloud data platform; candidates without AWS experience must demonstrate comparable cloud data pipeline exposure
  • Familiarity with field services or digital services business processes, asset lifecycle management, or installed base tracking concepts
