Schneider Digital is the digital department of Schneider Electric, leading the digital transformation in the company by giving support globally to our internal teams and our clients. Schneider Digital consists of 6 Digital Hubs worldwide which are strategically located to ensure a 24/7 support across the company (France, China, India, USA, Mexico and Spain). Our Digital Hub in Barcelona is formed by +450 employees working in strategic projects and different roles such as Data, Cybersecurity, ERP, Cloud, Infrastructures, IT Project Management or Digital Marketing.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Business Partner for demand management, requirements structuring, and stakeholder engagement for strategic data and analytics initiatives across global environments.

This role operates at the intersection of business, data, and delivery, acting as the key interface to capture, shape, and structure demand before execution.

The ideal candidate combines strong business partnering and communication skills with a structured, methodology-driven mindset. They are able to navigate complex and political environments, challenge business needs, and translate them into clear, actionable, and financially sound initiatives.

A solid understanding of data and analytics ecosystems is essential, enabling effective collaboration with technical teams, fluency in data-related terminology, and the ability to bridge business needs with data-driven solutions.

This role requires an exceptional communicator and structured who thrives in complex environments, navigates political dynamics with maturity, and ensures disciplined delivery of critical data initiatives.

What will you do:

Demand Management & Requirements Leadership

  • Own and drive the end-to-end demand management process for data and analytics initiatives.
  • Lead structured requirements gathering, validation, and prioritization, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with business strategy.
  • Challenge and refine business needs to ensure value-driven and feasible solutions.
  • Translate business demands into structured scopes, high-level roadmaps, and actionable initiatives.
  • Ensure traceability from business request to delivery outcomes.
  • Leverage a solid understanding of data platforms, analytics solutions, and data governance concepts to effectively frame and structure requirements

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, shaping and influencing demand at source.
  • Build strong relationships across business, IT, and data teams to ensure alignment and shared ownership.
  • Navigate complex and politically sensitive environments, managing competing priorities and influencing decision-making.
  • Facilitate demand intake forums, prioritization committees, and alignment discussions.
  • Drive strong stakeholder engagement to support effective demand governance and prioritization.
  • Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

Financial Management, Estimation & Chargeback
  • Coordinate and validate effort estimations with technical and delivery teams.
  • Own consolidation of financials, business cases, and cost models for incoming demand.
  • Ensure transparency on cost, value, and ROI of initiatives.
  • Support and manage chargeback mechanisms aligned with organizational financial models.
  • Contribute to investment prioritization based on value, cost, and strategic alignment.

Governance, Methodology & Structuring
  • Apply structured methodologies to ensure consistent demand intake, assessment, and prioritization.
  • Ensure alignment with PMO governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain clear documentation, dashboards, and reporting on demand pipeline and status.
  • Bring strong project management discipline to structure and organize complex demand landscapes.

Global & Cross-Cultural Environment
    • Operate across regions, time zones, and offshore teams.
    • Adapt communication and engagement style to multicultural environments.
    • Foster collaboration in a global, matrixed organization.

What will make you successful:

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Data, or related field.
  • 8-12+ years of experience in business partnering, demand management, or project management, ideally in data & analytics environments.
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, demand structuring, and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
  • Proven ability to operate in complex, matrixed, and politically sensitive environments.
  • Solid financial acumen, including experience with estimation, budgeting, and cost/chargeback models.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent).
  • Strong familiarity with data ecosystems, platforms, and analytics concepts, with the ability to engage confidently with technical teams and understand key terminology.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working on data platforms, analytics initiatives, or data governance programs.
  • Ability to bridge business and technical discussions in data-driven environments.
  • Experience in enterprise PMO environments and structured demand governance models.
  • Experience working with offshore teams and global stakeholders.
  • Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
