Engineering Supervisor
Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks an Engineering Supervisor in West Chester, OH.
Job Description: Interview, hire, and mentor electrical engineers and designers. Manage the implementation of all assigned projects to complete on a timely manner with a commitment to quality, professionalism, timely responsiveness, and within the estimated hours as quoted. Facilitate development and training of engineering personnel, including setting and monitoring of individual goals. Assimilate, filter, and propagate new design, installation, and service procedures and tools. Achieve expected KPIs assigned for the electrical engineering discipline in Power Distribution equipment. Review and approve project designs. Establish project design standards and conventions while facilitating improvements to quality system. Maintain an up-to-date thorough knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal codes and regulations. Contribute to engineering and overall services group strategic planning. Assist sales and quotations personnel with project feasibility and cost estimates to develop a customer base through superior service and technical expertise. Lead weekly team meetings to communicate outstanding issues or initiatives. Remote eligible up to 2 dys/wk. Position supervises electrical engineers and electrical and electronics drafters.
Requirements: Position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electronic Engineering, or related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in electrical engineering team leadership in the power distribution equipment industry, or closely related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Engineering Design in Power Distribution Equipment; Design with Low Voltage (600V and less) Power distribution equipment; Design with Medium Voltage (5kV-38kV) Power distribution equipment; Design with Low Voltage (600V and less) MCC/VFD equipment; Project Planning; and Engineering Management within a Services business.
