Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks an Engineering Supervisor in Hopkins, SC.

Job Description: Supervise and lead a team of engineers responsible for the design, development, and support of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear systems. Oversee day-to-day engineering activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff, fostering professional growth and skills development. Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for LV and MV switchgear projects. Implement process improvements and ensure that projects are high quality. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution. Implement and maintain engineering best practices, standards, and procedures to optimize team performance and product quality. Utilize engineering software and tools for design, analysis, and project management. Identify and resolve technical issues, providing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet organizational goals and deadlines. Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to provide project updates and address technical inquiries. Position supervises 10 direct reports in the positions of Principal/Sr./Electrical Engineer and Principal/Sr./Mechanical Engineer. Eligible for remote work 3 days a week.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in electrical engineering or closely related field and 4 years of progressive, post-Bachelor's experience in electrical engineering design or related occupation in Low or Medium voltage distribution circuit design, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Design of low voltage or medium voltage switchgear; Application of UL, ANSI, NEMA and NEC standards for low voltage and or medium voltage switchgear; Serving as team lead for teams of 2-3 electrical or mechanical engineers; Electrical, Eplan, or Autocad electrical CAD software; PLC or protection relay programming; and FMEA and issue root causing techniques.
