Engineering Leader - Breakers
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $175,000 - $250,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

Position Summary
The Engineering Leader for Breakers and Load Management is fully accountable for technical execution, cost competitiveness, product quality, and long term technical strategy across the MCCB, ACB, and LOMA portfolios. This role oversees product and system architecture, drives the technology roadmap, and ensures engineering deliverables meet schedule, budget, compliance, and performance commitments. The leader partners globally, accelerates continuous improvement, and develops a high performance engineering organization.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Strategy, Architecture & Roadmapping
- Define and lead the technical strategy and multi year technology roadmap for MCCB, ACB, and LOMA product lines.
- Collaborate with the global team on the product and platform architecture , ensuring scalability, standardization, interoperability, and cost effective design.
- Lead platforming, commonization, and modular design initiatives to reduce complexity and accelerate development.
- Align technology and product strategies with League Leaders, Product Owners, and global engineering teams.
Technical Execution & Governance
- Serve as the single point of accountability for engineering execution across all projects and sustaining activities.
- Ensure on time , on budget delivery of designs, testing, validation, and certifications.
- Lead engineering governance, including design reviews, technical risk management, and resolution of critical technical issues.
- Maintain all UL/IEC certifications and required agency follow up .
Cost, Quality & Product Performance
- Drive cost reduction programs , including material optimization, value engineering, and design for manufacturing initiatives.
- Own engineering accountability for product quality, reliability, and field performance.
- Lead structured problem-solving and corrective action processes.
- Support factories with manufacturability improvements and productivity enhancements.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
- Partner with Product Owners and League Leaders to set priorities and allocate engineering resources.
- Coordinate support from electronics, testing, materials, simulation, and advanced engineering functions.

- Collaborate with global engineering and operations teams to support platform deployment and technology development.
People Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team with strong accountability and technical depth.
- Identify skill gaps and implement targeted development plans.
- Foster a culture emphasizing speed, data-driven decision making, informed risk-taking, and continuous improvement.
- Promote waste elimination and streamlined engineering processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years engineering leadership experience with end-to-end accountability for technical execution.
- Strong technical background in MCCBs, ACBs, and load management (LOMA) .
- Proven ability to define and execute technical strategy and long-term roadmaps.
- Demonstrated delivery of large engineering programs on schedule and within budget.
- Experience in cost reduction, value engineering, and sustaining engineering.
- Knowledge of UL/IEC standards and certification processes.
- Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills .
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading global, distributed engineering teams.
- Background in power distribution, protection devices, or industrial control products.
- Familiarity with lean engineering and continuous improvement methodologies.
