Schneider Electric North America Operations Power Systems Division has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to assume the role of SAP Engineering Power User in our Project Engineering team at our Mt. Juliet, TN facilities.
Overview :
The Project Engineering team translates customer requirements into detailed electrical and mechanical designs creating deliverables including one-lines, three-lines diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams, 3D harnesses, bills of material, and Creo 3D models.

The products supported are complex, engineered-to-order (customized) medium voltage electrical distribution, protection, and control equipment. These products are applied to distribute utility and generator electrical power to various environments, including industrial, water/wastewater, and data centers.
The team is also responsible for providing all aspects of customer support. Consults on application of products and solutions with end users, consultants, and contractors as well as Schneider Electric sales, quotation, and project execution teams. Role Overview
The SAP Engineering Power User will support the Project Engineering organization by bridging gaps between Engineering, Operations, SAP support teams, and system/process owners. This role is critical to keeping SAP engineering processes clear, consistent, and effective.
The successful candidate will act as the primary SAP (S4 Hana) support resource for the Project Engineering team, helping resolve order's system challenges, training needs, system and process improvements. This role will also support Operations when SAP or engineering data issues prevent orders from progressing.
This position is not a traditional engineering role. The focus is on SAP engineering process support, root-cause analysis, issue resolution and escalation, reporting, training, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the SAP S4 Hana Engineering Power User for the Project Engineering organization.
- Support Engineering and Operations teams when orders are stopped, delayed, or blocked due to SAP, process, or training issues.
- Investigate SAP and order-flow problems to identify root cause, not just short-term fixes.
- Drive root-cause analysis efforts and help ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Support and track Titan tickets related to Engineering SAP issues.
- Push for timely fixes with the appropriate SAP, Titan, Run State, or support teams.
- Help bridge communication gaps between Engineering, Operations, SAP leadership, and support teams.
- Provide weekly updates to the Engineering team on SAP issues, process gaps, open items, and improvement actions.
- Report SAP Engineering concerns, trends, and blockers to SAP leadership.
- Support Engineering users with SAP questions, order issues, standard order concerns, and process clarification.
- Identify training needs and create or update documentation to prevent recurring issues.
- Create, maintain, and improve SAP Engineering training documentation.
- Support local SAP Engineering Key User activities and broader SAP Engineering Power User alignment.
- Standardize SAP practices across not only Mt Juliet facilities but also NAM Project Engineering team.
- Partner with cross functions to support the movement of additional product lines and processes into the Mount Juliet facilities.
- Use available reporting tools to monitor issues, communicate status, and support decision-making.
- Support continuous improvement activities that improve productivity, quality, order flow, and customer satisfaction.
- Support ad hoc leadership request (reporting, projects, etc.) related to SAP and/or Project Engineering data.
- Bachelor of Science degree, in related field
- 3+ years professional (post undergraduate graduation) progressive experience in related field
- 3+ years of experience in data management in manufacturing environment
- Prior SAP (S4 Hana) experience with MRP and master data.
- Proficient analyzing, manipulating, and translating large data sets (MS Excel, SQL, Python)
- US citizen or those who have the legal right to work in the US without sponsorship
- Aptitude and ability to successfully coach and train a team of engineers in a SAP manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to document and lead change activity to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction with successful change management

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
