Engineer II , Electronics Hardware Product Testing Engineer

GIGA Labs is part of V&V based out in Bangalore . We are part of Global Labs in Schneider network with various accreditations like NABL, UL, CB, ASTA .... We have more than 70+ Engineers working on various technologies in Electrical , Mechanical, Electronics , Digital, Prototyping , Environmental on multiple product categories.

We are looking for an engineer with expertise in Electronics Switches . This person would work with cross functional team , global labs and marketing on upcoming technologies and new innovations in Schneider Electric . This position gives exposure to experiment & explore some , develop new ideas both in electrical and data science field .

You would be responsible for the verification , validation and certification of new project . You would be planning , monitoring, estimating , and control of activities in lab & external labs . At the outset of the project, you in collaboration with the other stakeholders, devise the test objectives, organizational test policies, test strategies and test plans . You would also be working with other labs across globe on various strategies. You would have the opportunity to work on Data science , Agile , ISO17025, six sigma .You would directly report to lab Manager and would be based out in Bangalore .

Key requirements

  • Expertise in 60601-1-2, IEC 61326, CISPR 14-1, CISPR 14-2, IEC 61000-6-X, CISPR 32, CISPR 35, CISPR 11, IEC 61800-3, IEC 62920,IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 61000-4-3, IEC 61000-4-4, IEC 61000-4-5, IEC 61000-4-6, IEC 61000-4-8, IEC 61000-4-11, IEC 61000-4-29., IEC 61000-3-2, IEC 61000-3-3.
  • Experience in handling & managing global projects with global stakeholders for smart products
  • Thorough understanding of electronic switches , smart switches
  • Strong in Conformity assessment of products
  • Basic knowledge on Product know-how for diodes, transistors, LNA, RF switches, HIPACs, voltage regulator)& understanding in data analysis, failure analysis and product testing.
  • Familiar with lab equipment
  • Basic experience on related products testing in terms of hardware, test correlation, release process and interface.
  • Able to read/write and interpret test program structures, test parameters and test program debugging.
  • Good aptitude in engineering analysis, problem solving and solution finding through 8D methodology (FMEA, Cause & Effect Diagram, 5 WHY, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Pareto diagram, Fishbone diagram, and Decision Making.
  • Responsible for Product Yield, Cost, Quality & Delivery on product electrical test related topics
  • Initiate, write & release & manage V&V program to ensure new package/product release to production within timeline.
  • Support cost down projects - Yield improvement, test time/ test insertions reduction
  • Customer return support - support quality department with product-related analysis and fault analysis & simulation, support execution of 8D (root-cause finding, containment and permanent actions) & support Quality improvement program
  • Involve in data collection for product characterization (for new product/package/process changes) & production lot on hold disposition

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication with 5+ years of experience
  • Understanding of processes in ISO/IEC 17025 : 2017
  • Strong leadership skills with project Management experience
  • Previous work experience as a Test Engineer
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think out of the box.
  • High-level technical writing skills.
