Engineer II, Electrical Systems Design
We're looking for...
We're looking for an Electrical Engineer who is passionate about industrial motor control, automation technologies, and solving technical challenges. This role will support engineering teams across the United States and Canada, requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment.
The ideal candidate has experience working with AC motor control systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), soft starters, and industrial communication networks. If you enjoy applying engineering expertise to support customers and internal teams, we'd love to hear from you.
What will you do?
- Provide technical support and application engineering expertise to engineering teams across North America.
- Assist in the design, configuration, and implementation of AC motor control solutions.
- Support the selection and application of industrial automation and motor control equipment, including variable frequency drives (VFDs) and soft starters.
- Collaborate with engineers, technical specialists, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve product and system issues.
- Participate in the development of conceptual and detailed application designs for customer projects.
- Support system integration activities involving industrial communication protocols and automation solutions.
- Analyze technical requirements and recommend appropriate solutions based on customer needs and industry best practices.
- Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and solutions clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, standards, and technical documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2-3 years of experience in industrial motor control, automation, or application engineering.
- Hands-on experience with:
- AC motor control systems
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Soft starters
- Industrial control systems
- Industrial communication protocols (such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, or similar)
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts with engineering teams located in the United States and Canada.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools is a plus.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
