Job Overview
As a Certification Leader at Schneider Electric, you will be responsible for managing the conformity assessment of our products to ensure market access and compliance with applicable standards and legal requirements. You will collaborate with internal teams, certification bodies, and international partners to ensure our metering and energy management solutions meet global and regional compliance standards. Your expertise will play a key role in ensuring our products meet applicable safety, EMC, and performance standards, thereby supporting Schneider Electric's commitment to quality and compliance excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage conformity assessment and product certification activities to ensure compliance with global and regional market requirements.

Plan, monitor, and execute certification programs aligned with relevant standards such as:
General standards: IEC 61010-1, IEC 62052-31, IEC 61326-1, etc.
Metering standards: IEC 62052-11, IEC 62053 series (e.g., IEC 62053-21, -22, -23, -24) and related accuracy and performance standards.

Ensure compliance with directives and schemes including LVD, EMC, MID, ROHS, RED, and other applicable requirements.

Prepare, review, and maintain Technical Files (TFS), Declarations of Conformity (DoC), and supporting documentation as per CE and other certification frameworks.

Provide expert support to Offer Owners and project teams for national and international market access requirements.

Coordinate with certification bodies, test laboratories, and internal design teams to facilitate smooth certification processes.

Stay aligned with standardization and influencing teams to track evolving global standards and certification trends.

Address and resolve technical queries related to standards, testing, and compliance assessments.

Support the demonstration of product conformity during design validation, certification review, and audits.
General
Mandatory Skills

Proven ability to handle certification projects independently with minimal supervision.

Strong experience in CE documentation and TFS (Technical File) preparation and review.

Deep understanding and hands-on experience with metering standards

Proficiency in managing and resolving technical queries related to product standards and certification.
Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience as a technical reviewer or lead reviewer for certification or compliance documents.

Knowledge of RF standards and wireless communication compliance (RED Directive).

Familiarity with national and international certification schemes such as UL, CB, UKCA, FCC, RCM, MID, and others.

Experience in coordinating with external labs for test plan validation and results assessment.

Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.

Demonstrated mentorship capability to guide the team on standards interpretation and certification best practices.

Bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, or related engineering discipline (B.E/ B. Tech).

Minimum 12 years of experience in certification, conformity assessment, or product compliance functions.

Solid understanding of international standards, processes, and market access frameworks for electrical and electronic products.

Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
