The Opportunity

Our Benalla manufacturing site is located in regional Victoria, 2.5 hours north of Melbourne's CBD. The facility plays a crucial role in our operations, providing energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability, primarily Transformers, Kiosks and Switchgear. Our Benalla operations support our commitment to local manufacturing, innovation and significantly contributes to the regional economy.

We are currently seeking an Electrical Testing Team Leader to take on a hands-on leadership role where you will guide a team of skilled electrical tradespeople, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of assets to support production/operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of electrical trade professionals within a manufacturing environment
  • Maintain and manage the Calibration Register, ensuring all test equipment remains compliant with certification requirements
  • Coordinate daily operations, allocate tasks and manage workflow in support of production
  • Coordinate resources and work with the Project Management team on Factory Acceptance Testing in order to meet production and other related Customer deadlines
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical systems and equipment
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in processes and team performance
  • Collaborate with various stakeholder groups to facilitate and optimise production
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of growth and professional development
  • The ability to work overtime when required
  • The ability to conduct electrical wiring works when testing is reduced
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards


About You

  • Relevant trade qualifications coupled with a depth of demonstrated trade experience, ideally in a similar manufacturing/production environment
  • Proven experience in a leadership role with the ability to lead, motivate and mentor others
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and team-building skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for innovation and efficiency
  • Those with any additional post-trade qualifications will be viewed favourably
