Electrical Engineer
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $101,600 - $135,400 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role involves component selection, hardware design, electrical layout, and supporting the development of new products. You will provide pre-sale technical support, create and maintain manufacturing and service documents, assist with product application inquiries, ensure quality control, and commission and test a wide range of custom cooling solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical solutions to meet client needs.
- Create, review, and approve electrical drawings, proposals, quotes, BOMs, production drawings, and documentation.
- Support training, startup, and commissioning of equipment.
- Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and specifications.
- Participate in the engineering of current, redesigned, or new products using phased or stage-gate scheduling techniques.
- Collaborate with the production team to enhance design, improve quality, productivity, cost, or other operational objectives.
- Work with suppliers and outside engineering consultants to resolve technical and supply issues, improve system features and capabilities, and investigate sources of special equipment, material, or devices.
- Obtain quotes, prepare requisitions, and qualify supplier components.
- Create and execute test plans for electrical hardware and systems, and perform or oversee lab development and validation testing.
- Execute proper root cause and corrective action methodology.
- Resolve complex technical issues creatively and effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Who will you report to?
You will report directly to the Engineering Manager for Development. This is a hybrid role with the potential to transition to a fully onsite schedule. Currently, the position requires reporting to the Lancaster, NY office at least 3 days per week.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 5+ years of hardware focused experience
- Experience with industrial machinery or motor control for manufacturing, required
- Experience in the design and development of HVAC equipment or Datacenter & IT hardware
Skills and Abilities:
- Visualization and implementation of product line requirements for AC and DC electrical subsystems.
- Effective communication across functional and organizational boundaries.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, demonstrating ingenuity and creativity.
- Ability to exercise judgment to determine appropriate action.
- Ability to work independently and influence others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and resolve challenges in a technology-driven organization.
- Desire to learn technical knowledge and skills, including:
- Understanding of AC voltage (1000 or less), single-phase and three-phase systems, and AC/DC low voltage wiring systems.
- Proficient use of AutoCAD or other electrical software to create and modify electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of specifications, codes, and standards used in the commercial HVAC industry (NEC, IEC, UL, ETL, NFPA, etc.).
- Electrical and electro-mechanical aptitude with the ability to fabricate prototype designs.
- Ability to test and debug systems.
- Ability to collaborate with compliance testing companies to ensure products meet required standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment with minimal lifting of thirty pounds or less.
- May require navigating stairs and maneuvering through the plant environment for guided tours.
