The Opportunity
The Drives Sales Manager leads Schneider Electric's Drives (Variable Speed Drive) business across the Pacific Zone, with accountability for driving growth, commercial performance, market share expansion and profitability. As a member of the Industrial Automation Leadership Team, the role is responsible for defining and executing the business strategy for the Drives portfolio while ensuring offers, solutions and services are positioned to meet customer needs and deliver sustainable growth. The role combines strategic leadership with sales execution, leading a high-performing specialist sales team and driving business development, customer engagement and portfolio expansion across key industrial markets. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategic growth plan for the Drives business, including products, solutions and services.
- Define and communicate the long-term vision, priorities and market positioning for the Drives portfolio.
- Identify emerging market trends, competitive threats and customer opportunities to drive sustainable growth.
- Develop business plans, growth initiatives and commercial strategies that increase market share and profitability.
- Build and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline aligned to annual and multi-year business objectives.
- Drive strategic initiatives that accelerate growth in targeted industry segments, applications and channels.
- Partner with global and regional teams to ensure alignment of local strategy with broader business priorities.
- Lead execution of commercial plans across direct sales, channels, partners and key accounts, in collaboration channel and segment teams.
- Establish forecasting discipline and ensure accuracy of pipeline, opportunity management and orders/sales projections.
- Drive pricing, bid strategy and commercial decision-making to maximise profitability and competitiveness.
- Champion solution selling approaches that differentiate Schneider Electric in the market.
- Build relationships with key customers, partners and industry stakeholders.
- Act as the senior business representative for Drives opportunities across strategic accounts.
- Promote Schneider Electric's value proposition through industry engagement, customer forums and strategic partnerships.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Drives sales specialists.
- Build organisational capability through effective talent management, succession planning and development planning.
- Partner closely with Services, Segment, Channel, Marketing, Strategy and Digital Energy teams to maximise growth opportunities.
- Support strategic account planning and large opportunity pursuits.
- Drive alignment between customer requirements, sales execution and operational delivery.

About You
The Drives Sales Manager is expected to:

Skills & Experience Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience leading industrial automation, drives, motion or electrical solution businesses.
- Strong understanding of industrial markets, channel ecosystems and customer buying behaviours.
Preferred
- Deep knowledge of Variable Speed Drives, Motor Control, Industrial Automation or related technologies.
- Experience working across regional or global matrix organisations.
- Advanced commercial, financial and strategic planning capability.
- Experience managing sales performance, forecasting and business planning.
