Role Overview
Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced Sales Specialist to support the technical and commercial positioning of the Drive Systems portfolio in the Italian market. The role enables business development as a sales specialist, providing expertise discussing with customers about drive systems, application engineering, motor control, performance optimization and integration in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities - Drive Systems Sales Developing
- Act as the primary sales reference for Drive Systems solutions.
- Conduct application/specification analysis for complex industrial use cases.
- Define complete drive system configurations (protections, power sizing, communication interfaces).
- Support Sales with technical qualification and system sizing.
- Prepare detailed technical solution proposals and BOMs.
Pre-Sales & Commercial Support
- Support Account Managers in bids and technical negotiations.
- Validate and articulate value propositions versus competitors (with Product Management support).
- Collaborate with pricing and tendering teams to build compliant offers.
- Provide application risk assessments with mitigation strategies.
Customer Engagement & Field Support
- Conduct on-site visits for application audits and system evaluation.
- Support proof-of-concept activities and system testing with Product Management.
Enablement & Internal Advisory
- Provide continuous training to Sales and partners.
- Support marketing and business development with application insights.
Product Feedback & Innovation
- Interface with Product Management for roadmap feedback.
- Participate with Product Management in validation of new functionalities and firmware.
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or Mechatronics.
- Minimum 3 years' experience with drives and motor control systems.
- Expertise in variable speed drives, servo systems and power electronics.
- Proficiency with fieldbus and PLC communication (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP).
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, diagrams and technical standards.

- Fluent in Italian and English.
