Mission

A s Design for Safety and Reliability (DfSR) Engineer , you are responsible for practicing and applying d esign r eliability and r obustness processes, tools , and software across several teams to ensure that Schneider Electric products and solutions are designed to be safe, robust and reliable .

A s a member of the Quality team for NPI (new product introduction), you work closely with Marketing and Enginee ring Teams, y ou set work priorities and provide guidance to other professionals . You foster a quality mindset within the team, and coordinate design and industrial ization quality activities for new offers launched on the market.

Main Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as a quality reference for NPI and new product Design (Safety and R eliability ) .
  • Influence and mobilize cross-functional, multicultural teams.
  • You are skilled in project coordination and reporting .
  • Support continuous improvement of quality methods, standards, and practices.

Design for Safety and Reliability ( DfSR )
  • Build the adoption of the key stakeholders on the business' DfSR of their squads .
  • Assess and identify the critical elements of the offer at design level (system, subsystem, assembly, component) .
  • Put together the key drivers of a logical DfSR risk assessment plan based on the risk level for the offer from safety, robustness and reliability perspective .
  • Develop, execute, and report DfSR plans on a regular basis , animating quality reviews.
  • Train and coach design engineering community with DfSR training , methods and tools .

Qualifications
  • Education : Bachelor 's degree or Master's degree in mechanical , e lectrical, or Electronics of Firmware Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics (h igher degrees especially in Reliability engineering are preferred ).

Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in E ngineering , product D esign, or Q uality field .
  • E xperience in Design for Reliability or Design for Six Sigma .
  • Experience in e lectromechanical system power management, electronics, is highly preferred .
  • Experience working in an agile product development environment.

Technical Skills
  • CTQ (Critical To Quality) definition from VOC (voice of customer) , AHP, QFD .
  • P-diagram .
  • D esign FMEA, FTA .
  • Design optimization with DOE ( D esign of E xperiment)
  • Tolerancing experience is a plus ( Worst case analysis, RSS, Monte Carlo Simulation ) .
  • Statistical and reliability tools is a plus (Minitab, Reliasoft , JASP ).
  • Problem-solving methodologies (Six Sigma , 8D, 5 Whys ).
  • Software: Reliasoft, Jama, Minitab, JASP, CETOL .

Certifications (preferred)
  • Design for Six Sigma ( DfSS ).
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
  • Certified ISO9001 .
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) at minimum or internally certified Reliability expert.

Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership and animation skills.
  • Coaching and training capability.
  • Customer-oriented and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to manage change and work in multicultural environments.

Languages & Mobility
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Location : Schneider Electric Spain, Puente La Reina (20 min from Pamplona) .
  • Driving license.
  • Availability for travel depending on project scope . Low frequency <10>
