Design Build Program Manager
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $145,000 - $204,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. This is a Full Time position that includes benefits such as health, dental, vision, 401K, and many more.
Position Overview: The Program Manager for Design-Build will lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects using design-build methodology or similar project delivery models. This role requires deep expertise in alternative project delivery methods, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with both public and private projects, specifically with expansions, modifications and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align design-build program with company goals.
- Define and implement strategic objectives for the design-build program.
- Promote policy changes and streamline processes to enhance design-build or alternative delivery model efficiencies.
- Project Oversight:
- Provide leadership and guidance in the development and execution of design-build or alternative delivery model projects from conceptual through completion.
- Provide leadership and guidance on establishing design criteria, procurement and contracting strategies, as well as construction administration for projects using design-build or alternative project delivery model.
- Collaborate with regional design and execution teams to facilitate the development, design, and delivery of projects using design-build or similar alternative project delivery models.
- Support the resolution of conflicts and escalate issues as needed to maintain momentum of design-build or alternative delivery model projects.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build credibility and maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and build trust with regional engineering and operations teams to ensure alignment.
- Assist in development of client relations and confidence through demonstration of competency, skills, and knowledge.
- Participate in client presentations and the development of proposal content as required.
- Risk Management & Value Engineering
- Facilitate the identification of project risks with regional execution teams and support in the development of mitigation strategies to ensure costs are covered and projects can be executed within budget.
- Facilitate value engineering and value enhancement efforts with the design teams to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Provide leadership in preparing and analyzing conceptual cost models, budgets and contract pricing based on historic cost data and/or subcontractor input as appropriate.

- Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to legal, safety, and environmental standards.
- Conduct quality reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project/program management, with at least 5 years in design-build or alternative delivery methods.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, permitting processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of estimating, scheduling, and design coordination.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- DBIA Design-Build Professional Certification preferred
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Issued by: Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), preferential qualification, but not required
- Certified Associate Contractor (CAC) Issued by: American Institute of Contractors, preferential qualification, but not required
- Certified Construction Project Manager (CCPM) Issued By: Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), preferential qualification, but, not required
Other Key Information:
- Workstyle: Hybrid - Average at least 2 days in office on a weekly basis.
- Travel: Travel will be required to help assess work sites for Design optimization
