Department/Site Technical General Manager
Description
The Process Automation, DCS/EP&P/EDC/SCD6K team is looking for an individual who will lead EP&P, Electro Dynamic Controller, SCD6000,Tools, and DCS offerings. You will be working with R&D CoEs, Offer Managers, PMO, Development, Test, and training teams to deliver valuable products meeting customer needs, and to be predictable in R&D execution. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and leadership skills to drive innovation and maintain high standards of quality and performance.
Previous experience in technical management, firmware/software/hardware development, execution efficiency, lean and agile practices, processes and tools, as well as a good understanding of the automation products/solutions, will help drive your success.

Responsibilities of the position include:
- Team Management: Lead and manage the Product Architect, hardware SME, firmware SME, software SME, and Test teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Project Oversight: Plan, execute, and monitor R&D project deliverables, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to team members, facilitating problem-solving and innovation.
- Product Development: Oversee the development of new products and enhancements to existing products, ensuring they meet market needs and company objectives.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous testing and quality assurance processes to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Close coordination with multiple functions of the organization like Offer Management, PMO, Product Owners, Quality, Customer support, Architect, Cyber Security, Hardware CoE, Software CoE, Firmware CoE, and others to align R&D efforts with business goals.
- Budget Management: Manage the R&D budget, optimizing resource allocation and expenditure.
- Compliance: Ensure all R&D activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the R&D department to enhance efficiency and innovation.
Qualifications
Education Required:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in R&D, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of hardware, firmware, and software development processes and technologies.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage projects, and drive innovation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Project Management: Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- A demonstrable track record of success in a similar job role.
- Knowledge of process automation systems and their application within customer organizations.
