Job Summary:
  • Lead CatA/B type of tenders and propose best Tendering Setup with the Opp Leader to win the project.
  • Define the winning Tender strategy with the opportunity capture team.
  • Lead the project cost optimization strategy if needed in order to reach the target price.
  • Lead the tender preparation (Technical, Contract, Purchasing, Finance, HSE, Cybersecurity, Quality, Logistiscs, Workshop & Site Works, etc).
  • Make sure the CAPEX scope quoted is "Services Ready". Prepares or works with the services department to attach services offer with CAPEX offer.
  • Manage tender risk analysis with SRM and SMEs.
  • Present the offer to SE mgmt for approval/validation.
  • Participate actively in customer negotiations and closing of the deal.
  • Transfer project to execution team.
  • Tendering activities shall be executed in full compliance with Schneider Electric's CPP (Customer Project Process), using the official tendering templates, tools, and established global best practices to ensure consistency, quality and governance adherence across all submissions.
  • The Tendering Manager will primarily support tendering activities for the Schneider Electric Cloud & Service Providers (C&SP) Segment, with a focus on complex data center - related projects across the region.
  • The tendering scope covers multi-Business Unit (multi-BU) opportunities, including integrated solutions involving Power Products, Power Systems, Secure Power, Services, and Digital Energy portfolios.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Commercial aspects:
  • Need to be very business oriented. The only reason why we bid is to win!
  • Understand Customer needs and translate them with the Opportunity Leader into a winning Tender Strategy.
  • Understand how to sell added value with an EP&P project approach.
  • Prepare commercial offer and executive summary showing SE value proposal.
  • Participate actively in customer negotiations.

Tender preparation:
  • Communicate Tender Strategy to all team participants (local/reginal/global) during Tender Kick-Off.
  • Communicate Bid schedule to his team and makes sure it's respected.
  • Animate his tender team in regular follow-up meeting to anticipate problems / elaborates alternative plans if needed.
  • Translate Target Prices to Target Costs with the Opportunity Leader. Works with, and challenges, his/her tender team not to exceed this amount building different scenario to reach it.
  • Lead Risk & Opportunity sessions with SMEs.
  • Lead cash curve scenario with finance for the offer submission and anticipating negotiations.
  • Prepare Tender Review presentation with his/her team, captures comments from mgmt./SMEs and modifies the offer accordingly.
  • Submit tender approval as per official internal processes.
  • Is responsible of submitting the complete offer in due time to customer.
  • Master main aspects of the offer: Technical Proposal, Purchasing topics, contractual aspects, schedule, risks, commercial environment, cashflow, etc. Is capable of quickly seeing the impact on these different aspects while negotiating.

  • Bachelor's degree of Electrical engineering.
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in tendering/bid/proposal positions.
  • Excellent commend of English.
  • Professional user of Microsoft Office.
  • People oriented with great communication skills.
  • Has a strong commercial mindset. Customer oriented.
  • Aptitude to stand time pressure and stress while keeping high performance level
  • Adhering to the principals & values.
