C&SP Systems Solution Lead Engineer - BMS

Role Profile:
- The BMS Expert acts as the technical design authority and customer reference for Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power monitoring System (EPMS) solutions across MEA within the EU C&SP Solution Center.
- The role ensures technical excellence, standardization, and governance compliance for BMS architectures from early prescription and tender phases through execution and commissioning. The position guarantees alignment with quality, cybersecurity, safety, and Schneider Electric standards.
Mission:
- Act as the primary technical reference for customers on BMS and EPMS architecture and integration strategy.
- Translate customer functional requirements into optimized and scalable BMS and EPMSsystem architectures.
- Support pre-sales and tender teams with validated technical concepts and compliance matrices.
- Lead design standardization and promote reusable BMS and EPMS architectures across regions.
- Ensure alignment between tender commitments and project execution deliverables.
- Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across accounts.
Key Activities and Responsibilities:
BMS Architecture Ownership
- Define and validate BMS and EPMS reference architectures for hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities.
- Ensure proper integration of HVAC, Electrical, Fire & Life Safety, Security, and Power Monitoring systems.
- Define network topology, redundancy levels, server architecture, and cybersecurity strategy.
- Ensure scalability, modularity, and future expansion capabilities are embedded in initial designs.
Tender Support & Technical Governance
- Support tender and pre-tender phases with robust technical documentation.
- Prepare and validate system architectures, point schedules, sequences of operation, and integration matrices.
- Ensure consistency between commercial offers and executable engineering solutions.
- Identify technical risks early and propose mitigation strategies.

Technical Design Authority
- Review and approve detailed engineering deliverables including schematics, panel drawings, and software design.
- Oversee development of BMS & EPMS databases, graphics, alarms, trends, and reporting structures.
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, Uptime Institute guidelines, and local regulations.
- Ensure alignment with EcoStruxure™ and digital building strategies.
Stakeholder & Execution Support
- Act as technical escalation point for project teams during execution and commissioning.
- Support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and performance validation activities.
- Train internal teams and contractors on BMS and EPMS standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with procurement and PM teams on technical evaluations and change management.
What's in it for me?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering.
- Fluent English.
- Additional languages are a plus.
- Minimum 7-10 years experience in BMS, Controls, or Automation in mission-critical environments.
- Experience in data centers or large infrastructure projects preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Schneider Electric BMS and EPMS platforms is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of building systems protocols (BACnet, Modbus,Modbus TCP /IP, IEC 6185, KNX, IP-based networks).
- Ability to read and challenge electrical and Mechanical schematics, and system architectures.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to lead technical strategy in a matrix organization.
- High level of analytical thinking and risk anticipation.
