  • Job Description: Platform Architect - CRM Salesforce
  • Role Summary
    • The Platform Architect - CRM, Salesforce is responsible for defining the end ‑ to ‑ end architecture, roadmap, and governance of enterprise CRM platforms - primarily Salesforce - and its integration with adjacent systems, data platforms, and AI/ML capabilities.
    • This role ensures the CRM landscape is scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with the organization's digital & AI transformation goals.
    • The architect will act as a strategic technology leader, partnering with business, product, engineering, data, and security teams to deliver high ‑ impact customer, sales, marketing, and service solutions.
  • Key Responsibilities
    • Platform Architecture & Strategy
      • Define enterprise-wide CRM and Salesforce platform architecture including data models, integration, security, and scalability.
      • Build platform roadmaps, reference architectures, and standards for all CRM and customer-facing capabilities.
      • Drive adoption of Salesforce industry practices (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ, etc.)
  • Integration & Data Architecture
      • Design integration patterns using API-led connectivity, event-driven architectures, Mulesoft, Kafka, or equivalent.
      • Ensure consistent master data using Customer 360, identity resolution, and unified customer profile frameworks.
      • Align CRM data strategy with enterprise Data Lake/warehouse, analytics, and governance policies.
    • Technical Leadership & Governance
      • Establish architectural principles, coding standards, platform governance, and reusable components.
      • Conduct architecture reviews, solution assessments, and design approvals for CRM-related programs.
      • Provide guidance to development teams, SI partners, and cross-functional engineering groups.
    • AI & Intelligence Enablement
      • Architect solutions leveraging Salesforce AI, including Einstein, predictive modeling, and generative AI use cases.
      • Integrate CRM with enterprise AI/ML platforms for forecasting, recommendations, NLP, customer intelligence, and automation.
      • Evaluate and implement genAI assistants, conversation intelligence, and workflow automation across sales and service operations.
    • Security, Compliance & Performance
      • Architect systems ensuring security-by-design, GDPR, SOC2, data residency, and regulatory compliance.
      • Define and monitor platform performance, reliability, DR/BCP mechanisms and SLAs.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration
      • Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into scalable platform capabilities.
      • Work with Product Managers to prioritize initiatives and drive adoption of platform features.
      • Represent the CRM/Salesforce/AI architecture in enterprise architecture boards and leadership committees.

  • Required Skills & Experience
    • Technical Skills
      • 10+ years of experience in CRM platforms, with minimum 6+ years in Salesforce architecture.
      • Strong expertise in Salesforce capabilities: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ, Platform APIs.
      • Experience with Salesforce AI (Einstein, Data Cloud, genAI), or enterprise AI/ML integration.
      • Hands-on exposure to integration architectures: REST APIs, Mulesoft, Kafka, event-driven systems.
      • Deep understanding of data modeling, master data, identity, customer 360.
      • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and microservices architecture.
      • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps, automated testing, and release management.
    • Soft/Leadership Skills
      • Strong communication and the ability to partner with senior executives.
      • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
      • Leadership experience guiding architects, developers, and vendor teams.
      • Strategic mindset with hands-on problem-solving ability.
    • Preferred Qualifications
      • Salesforce certifications (e.g., CTA, Application/System Architect, Platform Architect, Marketing Cloud Architect).
      • Experience with AI/ML platforms (Azure AI, Google Vertex AI, Einstein AI).
      • Experience delivering large-scale CRM transformation programs.
      • Industry experience in BFSI, Retail, Telecom, Manufacturing, or similar.
