Conformity Assessment Engineer

Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to assume the role of Conformity Assessment Engineer for our medium voltage products. In this role you will work with development teams primarily in the US and Spain, and report into the Conformity Assessment group under External Affairs. As the conformity assessment person, you will coordinate between engineering and external bodies such as UL. spread in our factory locations in the US and Mexico.

What do you get to do in this position?

• Lead negotiations between Schneider design engineering and outside testing laboratories, to maximize the value of test plans.
• Guide and train engineering staff and others in understanding the requirements to maintain product Listings.

• Guide prioritization across multiple products and projects, balancing business priorities with constrained external resources
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, resolve blockers, and ensure project delivery success
• Represent Schneider Electric by serving on external standards bodies such as IEEE.
• Develop and implement simplification plans to improve processes, reduce complexity, and increase efficiency
• Operate effectively in ambiguous environments, using data, regulatory knowledge, and sound judgment to inform decisions
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to gather insights, align priorities, and maintain transparency

• Proven ability to lead and execute complex, cross-functional initiatives
• Strong experience in product creation. Agile practices or program leadership are a plus.
• Ability to lead decision-making as technically required
• Demonstrated success operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex challenges
• Self-directed learning, to build knowledge in response to projects
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• High degree of initiative and ownership mindset
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field (advanced degree a plus)
• 5+ years of relevant experience

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101,600 - USD 152,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
