The Comissioning Engineer for Modular Data Center delivers professional on-site services for Schneider Electric including commissioning, on-site technical diagnostics, and resolution of customer issues. The role primarily supports complex and critical projects, providing advanced support with hands-on expertise for Low-voltage products Masterpact circuit breakers, NSX compact devices, ATS, Power & Quality meters, Low-voltage protection relays (Micrologic), UPS Galaxy, Cooling products (InRow, Dx/InRoom, Dx/Chillers) and Medium voltage switchboards

  • Start Date: Immediately or by mutual agreement
  • Location: Your home country within the EU (fully remote setup)
  • Eligible Locations: We welcome candidates based in Slovakia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, and Italy
  • Travel Requirement:
    Extensive travel across the EU (~70%, occasionally more), offering strong exposure to international customers, partners, and strategic projects
  • Compensation:
    Starting from 38,000 gross annually, plus an 11% annual bonus and additional travel-related allowances.
    The final compensation package will be tailored based on your experience, seniority, and local market conditions in your home country.
  • Eligibility Requirement:
    A valid EU passport is required for this position


Main responsibilities
  • Perform Startup & Commissioning on all equipment across the entire Modular Data Center ranges
  • Evaluate units and system's installation & operational conditions
  • Ability to perform onsite adjustments to bring the units to the best running conditions
  • Be able to identify if the failure is related to a quality issue/ software issue / operation condition issue (Root cause Analysis)
  • Work with another Schneider Electric service engineers or partners during site interventions
  • Document test results and produce site work reports
  • Train Schneider Electric customers on basic operations of the equipment

Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of electrical principles particularly for low-voltage, medium voltage, UPS, auto transfer switches, mechanical principles of Cooling and fundamentals knowledge of automation and protection relays
  • Must be able to perform duties with general direction, receiving only general guidance with respect to overall objectives.
  • Must comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures, professional documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel internationally for 70% of the working time (and more)

Education and Experience:
  • Electrotechnical education (University degree in an advantage)
  • At least 5 years' experience with commissioning an/or field service activities
  • Confirmed experience with LV, MV, UPS and Cooling products (Schneider Electric or other brands)
  • Capability to work alone, analyze technical challenges and propose resolutions
  • Have excellent mechanical and electrical hands-on skills and capability to use measurements tolls
  • Fluent communication in English language (B2+ level min)
  • Flexibility & Reliability, Focus on technical details & Customer focus, Team player
  • Good Software tools literacy: MS Office, Acrobat, AutoCAD, Cx software

For this position based in Slovakia, the expected compensation range is EUR 35,200 - EUR 52,800 per year. This range includes the base salary as well as short-term incentives (individual and/or collective). The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located in Slovakia. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing positions of similar level and responsibility.
