Cloud Platform Operations Engineer
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $98,400 - $147,600 per year, which
includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United
States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within
the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a

ROLE SUMMARY
The Cloud Platform Operations Engineer is responsible for day‑to‑day operations of Schneider Electric's Azure‑based EcoStruxure Platform. This role supports the production run environment, customer onboarding, observability, and incident response for IoT platform services used across Buildings, Data Centers, Industry, and Infrastructure. The engineer ensures service reliability, security, and uptime by managing cloud infrastructure, implementing monitoring strategies, and providing expert support for production incidents. The position collaborates closely with Support, DevOps, R&D, and Adoption teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations and Reliability
- Manage daily operations of Azure production infrastructure.
- Manage and implement changes to cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Ensure observability, monitoring, logging, and backup/restore strategies are in place.
- Conduct technical troubleshooting for incidents and problems.
- Support 24/7 operations as part of an on‑call rotation.
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize systems and processes.
Platform and Customer Enablement
- Enable secure deployment of cloud services.
- Onboard new customers onto the platform.
- Manage, maintain, and automate environments (Preview and Production).
- Implement shift‑left practices and drive continuous operational improvements.
Process and Knowledge Management
- Lead and participate in incident and problem management activities.
- Maintain documentation and knowledge repositories.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to support stable, scalable delivery of services.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
Cloud and DevOps
- Azure Cloud Administration (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS services).
- CI/CD pipeline management with GitHub Actions.
- Container orchestration and management using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Apps (ACA).
- Automation and scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Infrastructure and Monitoring
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Networking fundamentals (Virtual Networks, DNS).
- Monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace or Logz.io.
Tools
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools for workflow and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Microsoft Azure certifications preferred (AZ‑104, AZ‑400).
- 5+ years relevant experience in Azure cloud operations and DevOps.
- Hands‑on experience designing and implementing cloud and DevOps solutions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
