Channel Business Development Manager
Position Overview
This role is responsible for driving new partner acquisition, OEM development, project creation, integrated solution selling, and expansion into new growth segments. The successful candidate will build sustainable growth engines by connecting channel strategy, partner growth planning, joint marketing initiatives, pipeline development, and performance management into a unified business development approach. We are not looking for a channel administrator who focuses primarily on maintaining existing business. Instead, we are seeking a proactive Channel Hunter who can directly engage customers and partners, uncover new opportunities, and create tangible business growth.
Core Mission
Create new growth engines for the integrated channel through new partners, OEMs, projects, cross-selling, and segment expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit new distributors and strategic channel partners based on market potential and coverage gap analysis, and develop them into revenue-generating business partners.
- Develop new OEM accounts and build long-term business opportunities based on customer applications, design requirements, and project roadmaps.
- Generate and develop new projects through direct engagement with end users and OEMs, leading opportunities from identification and registration through proposal, negotiation, and project conversion.
- Expand integrated solution and all-basket sales opportunities by leveraging Power Products, including EOCR, and connecting them with the broader Schneider Electric portfolio.
- Analyze high-growth segments such as Manufacturing, Buildings, Infrastructure, and Energy, and define target markets, value propositions, and go-to-market strategies.
- Develop and execute channel strategies and partner growth plans, managing targets, pipeline development, partner capabilities, and investment priorities.
- Plan and execute joint marketing initiatives, demand generation programs, customer seminars, campaigns, and sales activation activities with channel partners.
- Regularly review and improve pipeline, forecast, pricing, margin, inventory, sell-out performance, and project risks to ensure sustainable business growth.
- Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Offer Management, Marketing, Technical Support, Finance, and Supply Chain to accelerate business conversion and growth.
