Your Mission

The Global Business Process Owner for the Procurement domain (SRM) is responsible for supporting our new ERP program, UNIFY.

This position will focus on defining, documenting, and optimizing our Engineering to Order (ETO) domain business processes to ensure a seamless integration of operations within the new UNIFY system. This role will focus on driving the successful implementation and optimization of domain processes across the region, ensuring alignment with best practices, organizational goals, and UNIFY program.

UNIFY aims to simplify and standardize our end-to-end sales order to customer delivery journey by deploying standard processes & using a unique public cloud SAP solution. It's an ambitious program for which our Engineering to Order business is building a team to address all our sites in multiple waves.

The Business Process Owner (BPO in SRM/Procurement) will be in charge of the domain, SRM/Procurement, leading the site transformations & deploying the solution with Global teams as well.

The BPO is reporting to the Global ETO Procurement team, is aligned with the Business Process Owner in the central team (GSC BPO Procurement), and is acting in one of the Unify squads. He/She's recognized as the business process expert in his domain and is contributing to the domain competency community. This role is an opportunity to embrace a broad understanding of processes, with high learning/experience/exposure, and contribute to building the global ETO Procurement backbone of tomorrow.

The main responsibilities:

As part of the project, he/she will:

  • Partner with his/her Schneider Digital Power couple, the regional Digital Process Expert (DPE) covering the IT side of the transformation, and with the site Domain Team Leader (DTL).
  • Identify gaps & challenges & help solve the business pre-requisites on sites to optimize and secure the deployment process (support AS IS and TO BE process definition).
  • Bring the process expertise to align the business with the UNIFY standard.
  • Arbitrate disagreements between business requirements & core business processes.
  • Support business transformation with site management and the regional team, ensure adoption as a transformation experience
  • Be the safeguard of our Lean principles and SPS referential in his/her domain.
  • Support the plant data transformation and migration. As BPO, you are responsible for the data in your domain.
  • Take part in acceptance meetings, secure and support go live, cutover strategy & coordinate ramp up/post go live.
  • Develop the skills of the site key users to make a sustainable transformation, by developing and leading training, and by leading lessons learnt implementation.
  • Capitalize on project best practices.

  • Member of the procurement business process network
  • Monitor the Program and report the Program status to management regularly
  • Maintain accurate program documentation
  • Provide direction to the program team, ensuring regular communication and reporting of program status, milestones, and key deliverables.
  • Ensure Journey 2 Readiness milestones are met (finalize the complete definition of processes, tools, and interfaces). Identify gaps, initiate adaptations before the migration period
  • Accelerate learning and deep-dive on Unify QMS for the scope (incl. business rules, process templates, and process environment)
  • Actively participate and plan workshops for FIT2Standard and FIT2Template as well as BoB (best of breed) set-up
  • Regularly exchange with GSC BPO and local BPO managing domain (config spec, outputs, test plan, data)
  • Data management with data stewards (migration strategy, value mapping, data quality)
  • Process Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to map, document, and standardize ETO procurement processes, ensuring alignment with UNIFY program objectives. Closely work with the Global ETO Effectiveness team
  • Implementation: He/she collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement the UNIFY ERP system
  • In sync with Regional SME, the BP brings process expertise to align the factories & business with the targeted process and solution, ensuring that ETO procurement requirements are accurately represented and integrated during deployment.
  • Challenge and support the business pre-requisites on sites to optimize and secure the deployment process, especially the Best-Of-Breed deployments.
  • Set the routing of processes inside the system compliant with our Lean principles and SPS referential
  • Work closely with the Regional SME to align on the regional deployment strategy.
  • Training & Support: Develop training materials and conduct workshops to educate team members on new processes/solutions and the functionalities of the UNIFY system. Closely work with the Global ETO Effectiveness team
  • Change Management: Support change management initiatives by communicating process changes and their impacts to relevant stakeholders.
  • Performance Monitoring: Together with the Regional SME, establish metrics to monitor the effectiveness of implemented processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Closely work with the Global ETO Effectiveness team


What qualifications will make you successful for this role:

The BPO shall have strong operational and project management experience, coming from sites or a central function, with a minimum usage of SAM/ERP required, credibility, and authority in his/her domain. Qualifications expected cover:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, business process analysis coupled with strong experience in project, process management & processes within an ETO environment (ideal)
  • At least three years of Program management (as a team member or leader, but with a good understanding of Program management)
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and their application in procurement operations
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proven track record in using process mapping tools and methodologies.
  • Capabilities to innovate in our practices and drive transformations (transformative and disruptive mindset)
  • Willingness to travel most of the time onsite to drive and deploy the UNIFY program in each of the factories/businesses
  • Leadership skills: Communicator, Organizer, Influential, Action Planner, Self-Motivated, Implementer
  • Ability to influence across all levels in an organization.
  • Strong relationship or support from Business Group Leaders

Fluent English is mandatory.

Travel requirement of appx 50%-70%.
