BMS Service Engineer
The Opportunity:
Schneider's Digital Buildings business is shifting the needle in how we support our customers to maximise energy efficiency. We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Management System (BMS) Service Engineer to represent Schneider in Sydney.
Reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager, our BMS Service Engineers are uniquely placed as technical partners for our customers, who range in size and span sectors including commercial offices, infrastructure, healthcare, education, defence, and more. Our engineers are passionate about partnering with customers to improve their operations, with a strong focus on delivering better energy solutions.
The Day-to-Day:
At Schneider Electric, no two days are the same. However, our team typically works across installation, service and maintenance, troubleshooting, fault finding, programming, and commissioning of building management and control systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing breakdowns and performing maintenance on Building Management Systems.
- Developing and deploying logic engineering, including commissioning and updating documentation.
- Demonstrating strong product knowledge to proactively recommend improvements to customers.
- Ensuring excellent service delivery within budget and time constraints.
- Practising a high degree of safety awareness to ensure all onsite safety requirements are met.
- Participating in on-call duties, which may require after-hours work (on-call allowance and overtime apply).
The Perfect Fit:
You are someone who gets excited about technology and excels at problem solving in challenging environments. You are focused, collaborative, and passionate about the work you do. You're forward-thinking, innovative, and keen to share ideas that support continuous improvement.
Qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical HVAC are ideal; however, experience in BMS, instrumentation, or controls will also be highly regarded.
As a motivated and confident professional, you work well both autonomously and as part of a team. You prioritise effectively, follow tasks through to completion, and use your excellent communication skills to build strong customer relationships. You thrive in customer-facing environments.
Benefits of Working for Schneider Electric:
We offer an extensive range of benefits, but importantly, this role includes a competitive salary package, access to our employee share plan, and salary continuance insurance. Beyond this, we provide a truly flexible work environment with opportunities to work remotely, onsite with customers, or from our SMART Macquarie Park office-complete with an on-site gym.
