Mission

Member of Iberias Technical Team of Execution iHUB department, the Technical Project Leader is responsible for leads a team of Customer Project Technical Senior Technicians and Engineers. Leads design and implementation of all the technical parts of an integrated customer project. May also perform technical operational activities in some specific technical areas. Manages technical risks and interfaces between the project team stakeholders and the customer and manage final customer approval of the technical solution designed and delivered in Digital Energy, Automation and Control Areas.

Project Types: Automation and Control, Building Management Systems (BMS) software, Site Teams Coordination

Experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs), Building Management Systems software, Electrical Control Cabinets, Programming Languages, design, validation, and commissioning Onsite to provide the solution to the customer, meeting the customer projects specifications.

Main responsibilities of the position

• Defines and specifies technical solutions based on customer requirements during the offer phase.
• Validates technical decisions and solutions during the quoting phase and throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring final solution compliance with Schneider Electric standards in Digital Energy, Automation, and Control.
• Reviews technical documentation to optimize solutions and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
• Directly manages technical teams, including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning (internal or external, in Iberia or abroad), acting as Site Manager when required.
• Provides regular technical reporting to the Project Manager (PM) and relevant project stakeholders.
• Collaborates with the purchasing department to define and validate the best technical solution before submitting offers to customers.
• Implements and shares critical applications from the "Product Information" platform to update the Iberian Hub (iHUB) with Automation and Control solutions.
• Acts as the main technical point of contact for subcontractors during project execution, including validation of assembly work.
• Manages technical relationships with stakeholders, proactively communicating and ensuring compliance with specifications and solutions.
• Actively participates in project follow-up meetings with various stakeholders to manage the project plan, on-site teams, and resources in line with customer expectations.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with products and systems in the areas of Digital Energy, Automation, and Control.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with automation and control equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, computers, relays, and related hardware.
• Strong expertise in automation and control software, including PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, SQL, VBA, and more.
• Familiarity with various Schneider Electric PLCs and their programming languages is a strong asset, including:
o Modicon M580 (ePAC)
o Modicon M340
o Modicon M221
o Modicon M241
o Modicon M251
• Experience with Schneider Electric and AVEVA software platforms is a plus, such as:
o EcoStruxure™ Building Operation (EBO)
o EcoStruxure™ Power Operation (EPO)
o AVEVA™ System Platform (SP)
o EcoStruxure™ Power Monitoring Expert (PME)
o EcoStruxure™ Control Expert (Unity Pro)
o EcoStruxure™ Machine Expert (SoMachine)
• Knowledge of industrial communication equipment (e.g., Modicon Networking, Hirschmann Networking) is a plus.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols, including Modbus, Profibus, BacNet, LonBus, IEC61850, etc., is highly valued.
• Understanding of cybersecurity standards and network design is considered an advantage.
• Experience in designing electrical control cabinets.
• Proven ability to coordinate internal and external teams across all project phases (design, development, FAT, SAT, commissioning). Coordination across multiple disciplines is a strong asset.
• On-site team leadership experience, including roles as Site Manager.
• Demonstrated technical leadership during customer site operations. Experience in:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel (with VBA), Word, and others. Experience with MS Project is considered a strong asset.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, and SEE Electrical is a plus.
