Associate - SE Ventures - Investment Manager
About SE Ventures
SE Ventures is Schneider Electric's venture investment platform, based in Menlo Park, with approximately $1B in assets under management. The firm invests in category-defining companies transforming energy, industrial automation, and critical infrastructure-particularly where software, data, and AI intersect with the physical world. SE Ventures operates as a specialist venture fund with a strategic edge. Founders value the firm's deep domain knowledge across energy and industrial markets, combined with the ability to accelerate commercial traction through Schneider Electric's global footprint-bringing credibility with enterprise customers, access to channel partnerships, and real-world deployment opportunities. Since its launch in 2019, SE Ventures has built a portfolio of more than 50 companies, including multiple unicorns and decacorns, and has realized over a dozen exits.
We are looking to expand our investment team with the addition of an Associate.
This role provides significant autonomy and clear ownership. The individual will source and support investments in leading industrial technology, infrastructure software, and enterprise AI companies-primarily at the Series A to Series C stages-contribute meaningfully to diligence and conviction-building and play an active role in post-investment value creation alongside senior team members. The role is designed for someone who operates with venture-level intensity, strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset, and who will drive diligence and deal execution in close partnership with India Partner, earning trust with founders and internal stakeholders
Core Responsibilities
- You will be working closely with the investment team and will participate in every key step of the investment process - from thesis development (including market research/ mapping, deal sourcing) to company diligence (initial screening, evaluation and competitive analysis) to help inform investment decisions.
- You will also be involved in developing and maintaining financial models for funding and valuation purposes as well as helping with investment structuring.
- You will contribute to firm's thought leadership by researching and producing content on industry trends and insights.
- Post-investment, you will contribute in activities to support the companies we've backed. This includes making customer introductions, coming up with data-driven insights and finding synergies with Schneider Electric and with other portfolio companies.
- Consider the above as the floor and not the ceiling. You will always have the freedom to experiment with new ideas and increase your scope of work, as long as you continue to deliver on your core responsibilities.
