For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $128,480 - $192,720 per year with commission.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-

related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. What do you get to do in this position?

The position of Specialized ASCO Services Architect is a technical solution sales position that promotes FIRST and FOREMOST the sales of ASCO Services: Modernization of Paralleling Control System (PCS) & Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) equipment.

The Specialized Architect seeks to understand the customer needs and build in-depth, specialized technical value propositions, inclusive of all customer associated requirements. The Specialized Architect is the most technically capable members of the Technical Competency Center (TCC) for their SPECIALTY BU (ASCO for this Req) These individuals are highly specialized technical experts and will actively pursuit capture and expand opportunities with customers who have their respective specialty portfolio.

The primary function for this role includes but not limited to supporting the One Services Selling Center and any other BU, external partners, and distributors seeking deep technical ASCO Services sales support. If necessary, the Specialized System Architect may also have to focus on demand generation if needed.

This Specialized ASCO Services Architect will specifically be responsible for: Understand the key enablers of growth within the PCS & ATS Mod scope (Product, offers and technologies) driving the growth of the Schneider ASCO business

  • Contribute to the diversification of the consulting business by promoting the full offer portfolio of Design, Protection Control Automation and Power System Studies
  • Understand the various sales organizations within Schneider Electric and the available internal and external channels. Develop synergies with these organizations and foster cooperation
  • In cooperation with Marketing and Offer Management, develop offer and pricing strategies for the region
  • Provide input on the development of proposals on large or strategic projects.
  • Develop technical sales presentations for the region. Present technical subject matter (engineering studies, design, automation... etc.) in seminar and webinar format.

Working with other sales specialists within Schneider Electric to create and capture sales targets will be a key factor in the success of this role.

This is a Technical Sales role with a Short Term Incentive Plan (STIP) that includes 50% on the individual performance and the remaining 50% on the company business performance.

The position requires strong competency in both the sales development and technical skill sets. It is very beneficial to be accomplished at demand creation (i.e. develop projects and strategies without the use of bids by going to the client base and assist with developing an energy mgmt. strategy). Proposal writing is also another important skill in this position to communicate effectively with the client as to what is to be expected in a project.

  • High proficiency with ASCO or other OEM PCS & ATS equipment
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of low and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies/systems and associated equipment in compliance with IEEE/ANSI, IEC, and NEC/NFPA 70E standards.
  • Knowledge of electrical control and protection schemes for low and medium-voltage switchgear equipment, including interfaces & interconnections for new, existing, retro-fill and/or retrofit applications.
  • Support the Selling team through on-site visits and customer job walks
  • Solution oriented - will offer solutions about how to best resolve issues or make adjustments in the process to improve.
  • Highly collaborative - shares best practices across the team and helps other team members to be successful.
  • Takes ownership proactively and maintains a positive approach, looks for ways to improve the team and product line.
  • Developed interpersonal skills with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers of various technical abilities, including experience working with contractors, consultants, and sales staff as required
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills, and most importantly, candidate should be highly organized.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% to various customer sites within the US
  • ASCO PCS/ATS Product & Technical Experience
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills
