Aerospace & Defense Business Development Leader - Europe
Schneider Electric is strengthening its position as a trusted partner to Europe's aerospace and defense ecosystem, supporting mission-critical environments through energy resilience and digital infrastructure. As Aerospace & Defense Business Development Leader for Europe, you are responsible for driving the development of the segment at European level.
You will collaborate with business and local operations in the countries, connecting teams, aligning efforts, and adapting your approach to different levels of maturity. This includes working closely with more advanced teams to scale best practices, while supporting and developing those at an earlier stage to accelerate their impact. You will also contribute to key European and multi-country programs and accounts, including institutions such as NATO, ensuring coordinated positioning and engagement.
This is a hands-on mandate with a clear objective to accelerate and scale the Aerospace & Defense business in Europe over the next three years, driving focus, alignment, and execution across Zones. You will work closely with Strategy, Sales, and Zone leadership teams, hold overall responsibility for the segment at European level, and report to the Strategy VP for Europe.
Responsibilities
Strategic Positioning & Ecosystem Engagement
- Establish Schneider Electric as a credible partner across NATO, EU defense bodies, Ministries of Defense, and the broader Aerospace & Defense ecosystem
- Build and leverage senior relationships to create early access to strategic programs
- Represent Schneider Electric in key forums and partnerships to strengthen positioning
Support to Zones & Sales Teams
- Strengthen the effectiveness of Key Account Managers and Business Development teams across Zones
- Contribute to account strategies and opportunity shaping in priority situations
- Drive consistency in how opportunities are approached and executed across markets
Orchestration - One Schneider
- Connect Zones, Business Units, and partners into a coherent European approach
- Drive coordination across countries and focus on priority opportunities
- Enable collaboration between advanced and developing markets to scale impact
Pipeline Development & Opportunity Capture
- Drive identification and structuring of early-stage, high-value opportunities
- Build depth and quality in the European pipeline
- Increase win probability on complex opportunities through early shaping

Go-to-Market & Commercial Performance
- Set direction for how Schneider Electric engages the Aerospace & Defense segment across Europe
- Support strategic pursuits where positioning and coordination are critical
- Maintain visibility on pipeline quality and commercial traction
- 10+ years' experience in aerospace, defense, or complex B2G environments
- Strong network across institutions, primes, and system integrators
- Background in business development, strategic sales, or key account environments
- Strong understanding of the European defense ecosystem
- Fluent English; additional languages a plus
- Location: Nordics & Baltics
- Scope: Pan-European
- Travel: ~50%
