ADMS Sales and Demo Engineer

Location: Novi Sad/Belgrade

The Schneider Electric Digital Grid Division is growing and has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to assume the role of ADMS Sales Engineer. Schneider Electric provides solutions for electric utilities with our Advanced Distribution Management Solution (ADMS) and this person will specialize in demonstrating the Operational aspects of the ADMS Solution to existing and prospective customers. This person will work closely with the global sales team to identify and close profitable new business. Primary responsibilities will also include the configuration and management of various presales Virtual Machines (VMs) and software.

What will you do?

  • Development and presentation of in-person and online demonstrations of ADMS software to meet client requirements, occasionally to large audiences
  • Support in-person conferences and demonstrations of software.
  • Preparation and configuration of ADMS scenarios and VMs based on demonstration requirements.
  • Help promote the SE ADMS solution to utilities and business partners.
  • Work closely with the account management team as well as external partners.
  • Work closely with the product development team to review product functionality and direction
  • This position will require travel, both within Europe and beyond. Travel will typically not exceed 25% but extended travel with relatively short notice does occur. One (Europe) to two (international) weeks travel time is not uncommon for benchmarks.

What qualifications will make you successful?
  • 5+ years of experience in electric utility operations, working as a Dispatcher, System Operator, or Control Center professional utilizing Outage Management Systems (OMS), or equivalent experience as a Sales Engineer or within an ADMS-focused organization.
  • Deep understanding of utility operational processes, including outage management, switching operations, distribution network monitoring, and emergency response workflows.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently engage both technical and business audiences.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value, supporting sales pursuits, solution demonstrations, and customer discussions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally to support customers, demonstrations, workshops, and industry events.
  • Professional-level English proficiency, both written and spoken.
  • Experience working with commercial relational database management systems (RDBMS), including Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), Distribution Management Systems (DMS), SCADA, or related utility operational technologies is highly valued.
  • Experience with Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) and modern grid operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with virtualized IT environments and infrastructure technologies such as Hyper-V is preferred.
  • Additional language proficiency (such as Serbian, Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is considered a strong advantage.
  • Industry certifications related to utility operations or system control (e.g., NERC, Control Center Operator certifications) are a plus.
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and utility network models is a plus.
