Accounts Payable Specialist

Schneider Electric has an onsite (5 days a week) opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Buffalo, NY. The role requires an on-site, in-plant presence - remote work will be allowed situationally and on an as needed basis, but the expectation of this position is that your on-site in plant presence will be required 5 days per week.
As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will process invoices and payments accurately, support vendor relationships, and work with plant teams to resolve issues and keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities :
- Receive, review, and process invoices for direct materials, MRO, services, and capital purchases, ensuring accurate 2 ‑ way/3 ‑ way match.
- Collaborate with Receiving, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other stakeholders to resolve invoice/PO/receipt discrepancies and escalate as necessary .
- Maintain vendor records, respond to inquiries, and support on time payments to protect supply continuity.
- Prepare and execute payment runs and support plant cash flow and working capital objectives .
- Reconcile AP subledger, monitor aged payables, and support month-end close including accruals and GRNI analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and company accounting policies.
- Support ERP processes, system integrations, and data accuracy across procurement and receiving workflows.
- Participate in process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives (OCR, e ‑ invoicing, workflow optimization).
- Coordinates with the finance team to ensure proper allocation of expenses and account coding.
- Completes special projects as assigned , examples would include but are not limited to vendor reviews, admin support and organization.

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $54,400 - $81,600 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
- 2 - 5 years of Accounts Payable, Finance, or related field (manufacturing environment preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient users of MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Outlook are must .
- Experience with ERP systems required . Preferably in Acumatica .
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, 3 ‑ way match process, and AP workflows.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced plant environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills (verbal and written) .
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail .
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

- Office environment working primarily at a desk on a computer.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time .
