3PL Site Leader
We are currently seeking a Supplier-Based Distribution Operations Manager, acting as main operational contact with CFS (Container freight station) Logistics site located in Chino, CA. This position requires a firm understanding of end-to-end supply chain flows and 3rd Party cross dock operations:
• A team builder of internal and partner resources that enables the fulfillment of perfect orders to our customers.
• A value chain leader that connects internal/external fulfillment processes to optimize flexibility, resilience, and overall performance of the distribution network.
• A change agent that can facilitate key projects and initiatives between Schneider Electric and our fulfillment partners to improve and evolve network capability and performance.
This position will be located on-site at our Chino, California 3PL Cross Dock Center.
What will you do?
• Work with 3PL partner ensuring high level of safety, quality and operational excellence while reporting to the Director North American Logistics.
• This position will manage and monitor Import/Export order volume flow to and from Schneider Electric's cross dock center and work in collaboration with 3rd Party Logistics to resolve daily exceptions with CFS team and internally with Schneider Electric teams across multiple sites.
• Support day-to-day operations and relationship management in accordance with operating Agreements, business, and financial objectives.
• Monitor daily metrics to follow up on monthly KPIs for inbound and outbound with CFS team (container loadings, container fill rate, backlog monitoring....)
• Develop & apply analysis to resolve ad-hoc issues and adjust to the dynamic requirements of our customer and supplier base by anticipating business concerns related to events and proactively driving actions to mitigate.
• Clearly communicate near-term and evolving risks, opportunities & priorities with extended stakeholders to successfully scale and evolve Schneider's Distribution Network.
• Adapt scheduling and capacity plan based on product lifecycle activities (new product launch and end of life) & region/site calendar events.
• Support enablement of supply chain changes (i.e. fulfillment process changes, transport changes, alternate supply chains, etc.).
• Must be an advocate for the SE region/site as well as the customer when participating in capability enablement projects or analysis of flow changes.
Who will you report to?
• 3rd Party Logistics Director
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $101,600 - $152,400 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
5+ years of experience in:
• Logistics operations, planning, and/or financial management.
• Supply Chain Operations & 3rd Party Supplier Management.
• SAP ERP expertise (S4 preferred)
• Strong internal/external communication skills.
• Able to work autonomously with considerable latitude to meet and beat the objectives of the role.
• Individual expected to operate at various levels of the organization effectively.
