We're looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) to join our Cloud & Kubernetes Posture Management team. As an SMTS, you'll be building secure-by-default infrastructure systems that help safeguard Salesforce's massive cloud and containerized environments.This is a hands-on engineering role that offers opportunities to work across cloud platforms, Kubernetes security, data pipelines, and modern DevSecOps practices. You'll collaborate closely with experienced engineers, security experts, and platform teams to deliver scalable and intelligent posture management capabilities.
What You'll Do
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and will influence the design and drive our # value Trust across teams.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable backend services and tools that support Kubernetes and multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Contribute to systems that detect and remediate infrastructure misconfigurations at scale
• Help design and implement streaming and batch data processing pipelines using technologies like Kafka, Airflow, and Spark
• Responsible for proposing and developing the tools and testing frameworks requirements, to improve engineers productivity in environment setup
• Write clean, maintainable code primarily in Python, Golang, or similar backend languages
• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects on service design, code reviews, and best practices
• Support the development and integration of policy-as-code frameworks and security enforcement pipelines
• Work with tools like Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD systems to automate infrastructure deployment
• Learn and grow in areas such as cloud-native security platforms, infrastructure as code, and AI-assisted developer tooling
What We're Looking For
• 5+ years of software development experience with a strong foundation in backend systems
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages like Python, Golang, Java, or TypeScript
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts, with some exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization fundamentals
• Exposure to DevOps or Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Helm, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus
• Willingness to learn about cloud security, compliance, and posture management systems
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, impact-driven engineering environment
Nice-to-Have (But Not Mandatory)
• Prior experience with security tools like OPA/Gatekeeper, GuardDuty, or CSPM platforms
• Experience working on streaming data platforms or policy automation systems
• Contributions to open source or cloud-native community projects
