Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Job Description
At Salesforce Commerce Cloud, we are working to build the future of e-commerce, tightly integrated into the World's #1 CRM. We enable customers all over the world to create engaging, high-performing, and personalized Storefront Experiences.
We are looking for a Front End Commerce Architect to join us and build high-quality, easy-to-use, and powerful storefronts leveraging the full spectrum of the Salesforce Platform, especially Data Cloud and Agentforce. As the Architect for this domain, you'll be responsible for crafting the approach Storefront Developers and Merchandisers will use to build and manage impactful, high converting, and personalized shopper experiences. You will help modernize our solution and empower merchants to do their work in an innovative, efficient, and intelligent way by leveraging the full power of Salesforce's Customer 360 platform, with a focus on cutting edge front end technologies.
Our Vision
We will be delivering an AI-driven modern storefront experience that reimagines how merchants create experiences for shoppers in an innovative, efficient, and intelligent way. Business users will be using Salesforce Commerce Cloud as their one-stop shop to create product catalogs, manage inventory, launch promotions, and manage campaigns. Integrated into Customer 360, Salesforce will stand as the single source of truth. Merchants will be easily sharing and distributing data to any Salesforce Commerce product to scale and grow their businesses.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and drive the front-end architecture for Commerce Cloud and directly influence the product roadmap.
- Determine overall architectural principles, frameworks, and standards with a front-end focus, specifically for the React 19, React Router, Vite, and Tailwind ecosystem.
- Craft and deliver large complex projects that meet functional and non-functional requirements, with an emphasis on performance, including server-rendered fragments and avoiding oversized JavaScript dependencies on the client. Deliver solutions that are enterprise scalable and maintainable.
- Work closely with the runtime team to optimize the integration with the runtime platform.
- Be hands-on and create prototypes that validate the vision and help teams get started.
- Work with other Architects and Principal Architects to shape the architectural vision and roadmap for Commerce Cloud.
- Work with cross-cloud Architects to design and review data models and API contracts compatible with other domains, keeping a front-end perspective in mind.
- Work in a consultative fashion to improve communication, collaboration, and alignment among teams inside and outside the immediate organization.
- Provide input into long-range product requirements, standard methodologies, and operational guidelines, with a focus on continuous improvement of platform reliability and serviceability.
- Ensure that we are continuously raising our standard of engineering excellence and hold teams accountable for engineering best practices.
- Learn and grow yourself and share knowledge to mentor and foster growth in others. Provide coaching to team members to support their understanding of the architecture and aid in their technical development.
- Build an inclusive and open environment for the transparent discussion of all issues.
- Be productive in a remote team environment with teams spanning North American, India, and EU time zones.
- Independently run multiple projects end-to-end, including ownership to ensure successful planning, execution, analysis, and communication.
- Perform quality code reviews and work proactively to remove technical debt and security vulnerabilities.
- In this role you are instrumental in the re-envisioned, AI-native extensibility framework for CMS, Search, Personalization, and other APIs.
