Lead Salesforce Developer
Office hybrid in Indianapolis
The Salesforce Digital Enterprise Technology Applications team is looking for a full stack Lead Software Engineer (Lead Member of the Technical Staff, LMTS) to join our Application Development team in the Customer Success domain. You will be working with a group of world-class engineers, architects and product managers to build scalable breakthrough features and integrations.
You must have a solid background in Force.com and a solid understanding of the latest Javascript frameworks, CSS, and HTML. You will be responsible for development through all phases of the development lifecycle and be well versed in full stack (backend & frontend) implementation. You will use your experience to collaborate with team members to develop new features, enhance existing features, underlying software components and frameworks. You should have a history of building successful Web-based solutions and the ability to quickly comprehend unfamiliar technology and integrate them quickly into the solution implementation.
This job requires that you be a self-starter with the ability to deliver on time with quality and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You must have good oral and written documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver fast with quality. You will also be asked to contribute ideas and provide feedback on many projects within the team's portfolio.
Your Responsibilities
- Participate in designing and building the product utilizing the Salesforce platform and products.
- Provide attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, stable deliverables.
- Continually advocate for Scrum and Agile development processes.
- Review and provide feedback on code submissions.
- Be self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed committed milestones.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Architects to define best practices and architectural standards.
- Display strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to mentor and be mentored.
- Desire to work in a growing, fast-paced environment of innovation.
- Explore and adopt new features to support Salesforce on Salesforce.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of development experience, with 5+ years in Salesforce.
- Experience working with Apex, Experience Cloud, LWC, Service Cloud, and JavaScript.
- Candidates must have solid experience with the Salesforce platform, including Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, and building performant REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and experience building scalable, maintainable systems.
- Proficiency with Heroku and its ecosystem of add-ons such as Heroku Connect, NGINX, and Redis is essential.
- A deep understanding of Postgres and SQL is required.
- A related technical degree required.
- Proficient in the design and implementation of Web Services.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
- Experience with test frameworks.

- Experience with code reusability, scalable solutions, and design patterns.
- Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development.
- Ability to lead projects and mentor developers in best practices.
- Experience troubleshooting full-service stack, end-to-end ownership.
- Worked on customer-facing applications with high traffic volume.
- Ability to present designs to internal/external groups and review designs of others.
- Good knowledge of automation testing frameworks.
- Certifications in Salesforce Admin, Salesforce Developer, and/or Agentforce.
- Experience working in and around the software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service architectures and/or industry
