The ES Strategic Programs & Operations, Senior Manager plays a critical role in driving the execution, governance, and continuous improvement of one of Employee Success (ES) - Salesforce's Human Resources organization - highest priority programs, Go for Growth (G4G), while providing operational leadership and program management support across other strategic ES initiatives as needed.

The G4G program is essential to ensuring our globally distributed GTM teams have what they need to begin selling and achieve a fast start at the beginning of each fiscal year. Partnering closely with the ES G4G Program Director and cross-functional stakeholders, this individual will lead complex, enterprise-wide workstreams, drive operational rigor, and ensure seamless execution across a highly visible and business-critical program.
Success in this role requires exceptional program management expertise, strong stakeholder influence, systems thinking, and the ability to translate strategy into execution across a highly matrixed environment. This leader will serve as the operational backbone of the program, driving alignment, managing dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring key milestones are delivered on time and with quality.
This role also requires an AI-native mindset and a passion for redesigning work. The ideal candidate continuously identifies opportunities to simplify processes, leverage AI-powered tools and automation, and improve operational effectiveness at scale. They will champion innovative ways of working, helping modernize how Employee Success delivers programs, manages operations, and drives impact.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management & Planning
- Own and maintain program plans, managing critical timelines, milestones, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment across ES (HR), Finance, Sales Strategy & Operations, IT, and other cross-functional teams
- Build and manage governance structures, RACI frameworks, and reporting cadences, ensuring accountability and alignment across stakeholders
- Contribute to program timeline development and milestone alignment with key stakeholders
- Oversee complex workstreams, ensuring process optimizations are implemented, execution remains on track, and dependencies across teams are proactively managed
- Create and maintain RAID logs and automate status reporting for program leadership
- Manage program communications channels and infrastructure, identifying opportunities to automate and streamline communications through AI and digital tools
- Coordinate across program workstream leaders, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders, preparing leadership updates, risk summaries, recommendations, and decision materials
- Prepare and facilitate program meetings, including agenda development, decision tracking, action-item management, and stakeholder follow-up
- Lead retrospectives, lessons learned exercises, and continuous improvement efforts informed by operational insights and stakeholder feedback
- Support Employee Success strategic initiatives and transformation efforts as business priorities evolve
Systems, Data & Operations
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with systems, analytics, and data teams across the business, ensuring alignment and surfacing risks to program leadership
- Identify, document, and prioritize system enhancements and process improvements informed by retrospectives, stakeholder feedback, audits, and operational reviews
- Lead cross-functional efforts to improve data quality, automate reporting, streamline workflows, and enhance operational efficiency
- Partner with Finance, Engineering, Business Technology, and Position Management teams on process improvement and automation initiatives
- Drive Orgvue and workforce planning activities, ensuring program readiness, stakeholder alignment, and timeline adherence
- Support audit and correction processes, including organizational hierarchy, job profile, and systems data reviews
- Contribute to multi-year transformation initiatives across Employee Success, identifying opportunities to modernize systems, simplify processes, improve operational efficiency, and leverage AI-enabled solutions
Process Transformation & AI Innovation
- Champion AI-enabled ways of working by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes, improve decision-making, and increase operational scalability
- Evaluate and redesign workflows to eliminate inefficiencies and improve stakeholder experiences across Employee Success programs
- Partner with Digital Success, Engineering, and Systems teams to implement automation, agentic solutions, and process improvements
- Serve as a thought leader in operational excellence, continuously challenging legacy processes and introducing innovative approaches to work
- Develop repeatable frameworks, governance models, and scalable operating mechanisms that improve program execution across Employee Success
Enablement
- Develop and maintain enablement resources, documentation, and operating guides that serve as sources of truth for stakeholders across strategic Employee Success programs
- Plan and facilitate enablement sessions, workshops, and training experiences to drive consistent execution across programs and initiatives
- Support communication and change management strategies tied to large-scale planning, transformation, and operational initiatives
- Partner with stakeholders to create clear, actionable guidance that improves adoption, readiness, and execution
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required
- Master's degree (MBA, MHRM, or equivalent) preferred
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in program management, operations, business transformation, consulting, HR strategy, or related fields
- Proven success leading complex, enterprise-wide programs with executive visibility and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience applying change management principles to large-scale initiatives, including stakeholder communication, adoption strategies, and organizational readiness
- Demonstrated experience driving operational transformation, process redesign, and scalable business solutions
- Experience influencing senior leaders and driving alignment across highly matrixed organizations without direct authority
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, analytics, or emerging technologies to improve business outcomes and redesign work
- Experience working with Engineering, Systems, Analytics, or Business Technology teams on automation and data initiatives
- Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday, Orgvue, or similar platforms preferred
- Prior exposure to workforce planning, go-to-market operations, annual planning cycles, or large-scale business transformations is advantageous

- AI-fluent with demonstrated ability to leverage AI-powered tools, automation, and emerging technologies to improve business outcomes
- Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and redesign work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level presentations, updates, and recommendations
- Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and organizational levels
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, driving clarity, and managing competing priorities in fast-paced environments
- Collaborative, relationship-driven approach with a strong bias for action and continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Slack, project management tools, and data analysis tools; experience with Salesforce, Workday, or similar enterprise platforms is a plus
- Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights, recommendations, and program health reporting for leadership

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions.The typical base salary range for this position is $143,400 - $216,900 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
